I just saw the video on FUSE and i thought i was watching a target commcercial or mtv cut away. Anyone else think its kind weird with all the colors? Dont get me wrong its a good video but, trippy.

The colors were too bright and didnt go along with the song at all...they shoulda used darker colors and it might have been better. Awesome album though but the video sucks.

Yeah I don't like the video at all, but the song is pretty good. Who else thinks it would have been more cool if they were all killed during the video, and their ghosts were playing the song while they were taken away by ambulances.

I wasn't serious, but i'm sorry i offended you. Thrice aren't like any other band out right now, contrary to you unfounded statement. Thursday are no more unique, and maybe even less so. What is so different about Thursday's lyrics, is it the attacks on governments(autobiography of a nation), or losing loved ones(understanding in a car crash)? I am in no way bashing Thursday, because i like them and think their lyrics are actually quite good.

The song is about Rickly's refusal to accept stereotypical notions of sexual identity. He chose to write the song about sex and gender issues because he noticed both were prevalent in the emo-punk community, yet other artists refuse to broach the subject.

"It's about everything from commercialized sexuality to sexual identity," Rickly said. "It's really stifling that nobody talks about the fact that there's all these sexuality issues. Hardcore kids are beating up on emo kids, and there are these indie-rock kids that are smaller and more feminine. All these tensions get whitewashed over, and I just wanted to talk about it."

buried alive...no matter what they write about. Dustins lyrics in the way they are written and structured completely own most bands nowadays, including thursday. And hey, i love thursday too dont get me wrong...but Thrice is just so much more then Thursday.

omg that's an outrageous statement....thrice write about the same stuff as everyone else? please go buy the new album or just listen to the old stuff....if anything Thursday writes more relative to other bands than thrice....btw the video is "ok" - it's different and trippy but doesn't fit the song

Fortuanately for me i've never seen a target commercial. so i don't have to worry about the comparison. personally i thought the video was wickedawesome. mainly because i like things that are original. and i can't think of a video that looks like this one. although i do agree that the video does not match the song in the slightest. the song is good and so is the video. just not together. that's my opinion
