Explosions is more intense, while Sparrowes are more about the beauty...they are both intense and beautiful though.

Well, I know that Explosions doesn't have the creshendos that Red Sparowes have, if thats what you mean.

ahh there good, to be sure, but there are alot of bands that are just, "hey lets write post-rock with just geetar, bass, and drums" and not really pushing the genre, don't get me wrong, these guys are good, nay AMAZING, but because of them you get alot of rip-off bands, thats probably why i like Red Sparrowes more, not as experimental as A Silver Mt. Zion, but still ballsy enough to incorporate a steel pedal guitar and actually use it to its full potential.

this is probably why i've switched over to post/doom-metal, because there are a lot more original bands out there, and its kind've a midwest thing.

but there i go againg ranting about Post-Rock

Woah! I just looked online, and my local record store has this already!! Their Australian labels release date was the 16th! I'm getting it tomorrow :-D

I love their new album, but I loved the one before there more. Hehe. Its awesome music to chill to. Its been on my zZz-list for almost a year now :)
