Wow, Jerry Sloan sucks.

I was reading an excerpt from John Amaechi's book that was in ESPN the magazine and Jerry Sloan comes off like a huge prick. Anyone else read this? He also basically sat Amaechi on the bench for most of the season (at least partly) because he was gay. Amaechi's homosexuality also was one of the reasons Sloan had him dealt.

I'm not saying that's a lie, but there are two sides to each story. Did Sloan actually say that his homosexuality was the reason for benching/trading him?

who cares about this guy, honestly. he came out for the media attention. its not like gays havent been discriminated against before

I agree. It's not like Amaechi was an all-star type player. The guy was an average role player, that's probably why he didn't get minutes.
