Real friends stab you in the front?

well, sorry I had to steal the subject line off someone elses sig that I've seen...

Anyway, anyone feel that their friends get unreasonable? Tonight my friend got really mad at me and was about to talk all this shit to me because I had pissed him off. And it wasn't even something that HE should be pissed off about. He wanted me to ask some girl that I'm talking to to go on a double date with him and his gf. and I chose not to ask her simply because we have only been talking for a lil' while, she is probably not ready to date me yet, tomorrow is a Wednesday night, and that she has REALLY strict parents. Plus, I never really have asked a girl out. Anyway, my friend got all butt hurt and all mad and shit. What I'm saying is that he has no reason to be all mad, it was my fucking choice and I know that there are gonna be tons of opportunities to go out with this girl. I'd rather go out with her just her and me. He told me he was "dissapointed" in me, fuck that it was my choice to make! Its not his "love life" so its not his choice to make, am I right..?

and i've been in the situation before too, it kinda sucks. but my situation was reversed, my friend wanted me and my girlfriend to double date with him and this girl he liked.

yea, your friend was being a bit of an asshole, but i mean you said "there'd be tons of opportunities" and well, there aren't. the fact that you've never asked a girl out before doesn't help, but it's not gonna change if you keep thinking that, you're planning on asking her out eventually, worst that happens (if she likes you) is she'd reschedule cuz of her parents, it's not the worst thing, hell i remember a time i was supposed to go out with a girl one day and her parents dragged her apple picking, we went out the next day, no big deal.
now i'm probably the last guy that should be giving advice on someone else's love-life, but there isn't always another chance.

ive just noticed how much of an ass one of my best friends can be. Hes really sneaky, and tries to seperate me and my other best friend whove ive known for a longer time. Hes also always gossiping to others, and making fun of people. We worked at a senior center.. and he just started swearing (not at them thank god) and he makes fun of my parents and shit. Not that i dont get pissed at my parents.... But i know i have to watch out for him cus hes going to fucking backstab me one day i can see it.

Well, Blaarg probably gave me the best advice here. Yeah, there isnt always that certainty of another chance. I've lost all too many girls because I just sat it out like they are gonna come to me. but yeah, I'm still kinda mad at my friend for trying to make the decision for me...
