What kind of stage presence do you need?

some one who really can conquer the stage. I grew up loving bands like at the drive in and avail for the way the singer really got into it. We just don't want some guy standing still.

what i want to know is: what 20-26 year old can afford to live in la and go tour for six months with a band no one has ever heard of? you should also put on your requirements "must still live with parents"

well of course no one has heard of us, since we are starting it up.. and it's not like we would be leaving to go on tour the second we find someone. It is more of a down the road type of thing. The people involved so far don't want to be a band that sits around and waits for someone to come to us, we would prefer to use the van we have, to go out on the road as soon as a album is completed and pressed with or with out label support.
We are all willing to sacrifice things in our life to do it, so the purpose of that part of the requirements is the ability more mentally to want to be out on the road.

instrumentally, it has a great pop-punk sound. i wouldnt put so many restrictions on what you are looking for. in all honesty-your band could go anywhere with vocals right now. i do agree about stage presence though- putting on a decent show and interacting with a crowd is key to performing.
sorry i cant help- good luck though. if you do end up getting somewhere, i'd love to do an informal review for your band- i can be contacted through purevolume.com with the user name 'biodegradable.kid'

thank you very very much :)
right now this was all just me. I have a drummer, second guitarist, and bassist.. but these tracks were just me fucking around and writing some stuff to look for a singer..
i have about 25 songs demoed out so as soon as we find a singer we will be posting stuff all over, so ill be sure to make a post somewhere around for you guys to check out.
but sincerely thank you for the kind words, it really gives me hope and motivation to keep the search going for the perfect person and not just settle on someone.

when i was in high school, i actually had a few friends who i thought were pretty decent vocalists. some better suited for other genres. i was wondering what genre or type sound (low or high pitch, articulate, raspy, you know..) i can let one or 2 of them know and maybe send you an mp3. i know im in ohio, but these are the type of guys if the right opportunity arose they would go anywhere.

I'd like to find some one who is similar to the loved one's singer, mixed with jim adkins of jimmy eat world.
I don't want a super high pitched emo sounding voice, but i want to avoid a super rasphy lawrence arms thing... so someone who can go from rasphy to something pretty.

it's la. if you have to come on here to find a singer for this kind of band, you are definitely not putting yourself out there enough, which you need to do if you wnat to be in a band to begin with.

what do u mean because im a soon to be 19 year old singer looking to tour heavily and everyone in my area is extremly flaky and I can't seem to find a band that doesn't want to play metal and/or hardcore. I'm looking for a powerpop pop/punk rock sorta thing like All Time Low, CIWWAF, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, The Academy is...
