I see your point but Copeland and Mae are good enough to where they can hang musically and in this poll. I more put Ben Folds on here to see how many Ben Folds fans there are, because there should be a lot of them, but I think there a lot of people out there that unfortunately dont know his material

I'm not too familiar with waking ashland, but as for copeland they're terrible live and their singer can't hit his notes, this was the story each of the two times I saw them. On CD I like copeland alot. As for Mae they're a solid band and they sound alright live, but they're kinda boring live. Lovedrug is amazing live, they're energy is awesome and everything sounds really good. All in all Ben Folds wins hands down the crowd interaction is amazing and Ben Folds writes the best songs overall.

Yeah Im surprised no one has mentioned Jacks Mannequin yet. I just selected 5 bands but I dont think Mates of State fit in this theyre too indie pop in my opinion but The Hush Sound would work.

I actually plan on making a poll with Mates of State soon because theyre one of my favorite bands.

I know Ben Folds is more contemporary than any of those other bands listed, but I think Ben Folds Five had a lot of influence on bands like these. I more put him in because I wanted to get him in a poll and see how much love he gets compared to the newer stuff.

I just realized I read that wrong. He would tour with them because he needs the money and hes sweet.
If Ben Folds went on a full headlining tour and called up those Bands, do you think any of them would turn it down? Probably not. A good example of this is Mae opening for The Fray.

Copeland is a little slower and in a way darker I guess? Mae is a little faster and I suppose a little more upbeat.
I'll put in this way...
When Im in a good mood and its the afternoon and sunny and Im up and awake, Mae sounds better.
When its night or cloudy maybe even raining outside and Im a little bummed,or sleepy, Copeland sounds better, espcially with Eat,Sleep,Repeat and Beneath Medicine tree. Same with Waking Ashland and Lovedrug.
I could be in any mood and I'll find a Ben Folds CD that works for me.
So I know where youre coming from.
