Haha I saw this advertised on a news show yesterday. Supposedly its the conservative answer to "The Daily Show," it doesnt look quite as slick so we will have to wait and see.
sweet jesus i hope that never happens in real life.
like even the thought of those two people holding any actual place of power makes my stomache actually turn.
i'm really not even sure who's worse, coulter or limbaugh.
also, i don't think i like the fact that they've ripped off of HBO's The Half Hour Comedy Hour.
other than that, political pundits that consider themselves to have serious ideas on a serious network should be entertaining to watch poke a little fun at themselves, and a lot of fun at anyone remotely liberal.

The Daily Show and the Colbert Report work well because they are satiring the media and Washington as a whole, rather than simply making fun of the right. A show dedicated to making fun of the left simply does not have that. I mean, how many jokes about hippies will one have to endure? Are we going to have skits making fun of local officials, because the president cannot be satired during war-time? It is just ridiculous and will, in all likelihood, be boring.

Right. But according to Fox, whenever they make fun of the right, they are liberal-elites and must be stopped. However whenever they make fun of the left, its HILARIOUS!

Does the Daily Show make fun of the center? I always thought Jon Stewart loved to point out how great he was because he wasn't "extreme", but I haven't watched in a long time because my tv's broken and I don't care enough to get it fixed.

His stand up is actually alot more center than his work on the Daily Show. He attacks pretty much everybody. He wouldn't stop mocking Kerry and spent a good amount time making fun of the Democrats in general for being unlikable.
the writers are clearly horrible and the laugh track is obnoxious. i see nothing redeemable at all in this show.

He makes fun of just about anything stupid the media does. The Anna Nicole Smith commentary over the past week has been great.

i though fox news was allegedly a news channel. this is so incredibly biased and unprofessional as well. could anyone imagine CNN doing a satirical show? i sure as hell could not. comedy central is a comedy channel. they dont claim to provide news

The show looks awful.
However I did spend a few hours in awe of just how crazy and biased american news channels can be when I watched FOX last night. I didn't even know I got FOX news, but it turns out I do.
I did like how Anna Coulter came across in that time though.

i bet. i miss watching it. i just don't feel like fixing my tv when the trade off would be less band practices, shows, other stuff because i'm too busy just sitting there in front of the tv watching six hours of law and order straight.

Just download Daily Show episodes off bittorrent. That's what I do, because the TVs in the dorms are always taken up by people watching House or something.

Just download Daily Show episodes off bittorrent. That's what I do, because the TVs in the dorms are always taken up by people watching House or something.
Haha. I have cable in my actual dorm room. No walking to the commons to watch tv for me.

i love how conservatives could never in a million years get a comedy show on a comedy channel so they put one on their conservative news station. Honestly, this is well timed and well placed for the conservative agenda. It's a backlash that kids who think Stewart is a liberal prick will enjoy.

Free for me. It's actually built into housing payments, but I don't have to pay extra for it. Only if I want HBO.

this show seems like fox news' way of defending themselves from the attacks the daily show often makes against conservatives. well, that, and this seems to be an alternative to the daily show for those that don't necessarily agree with their point of view. the daily show and the colbert report will always have the one-up however, for many of the reasons many of you have already pointed out.

thats really my only reaction
the fact that any news channel would create a show as an attempt to answer to "comedy central" is laughable.
im reminded of Jon Stewarts comments on Crossfire when he was a guest. He was telling the hosts that they let politicians off easy, Tucker Carlson then brought up the time when John Kerry was on the Daily Show and Stewart asked him lighthearted questions. Stewart's response was something to the effect of "you realize that the show that leads into mine is puppets making crank calls right?"
