I'm sitting here with my son, watching Michael Jordan to the Max on DVD. He was the most amazing professional athlete that I have ever seen.
I used to love watching basketball. Who didn't love turning on the TV at night and finding a Bulls game on? This DVD makes me nostalgic for the old days...
Being a Bulls fan it was amazing following him throughout the years.

Dude totally. I have all these old memories coming back of me actually getting excited watching basketball and talking shit to the tv screen. MJ made the sport so fun to be a part of.

Basketball was the shit in the 90's. It's really only for the diehard fans now.

haha speaking of charles barkley, I was both a Suns and Bulls fan back in the early 90's. I still remember going to the Bulls vs Suns games in Phoenix. Those were good times.
college basketball is 10x better than the nba. professional sports and athletes have lost the spirit of the game. there is no magic to it anymore.

i got into an argument with my roommate about why college players actually care about the game. he said its just so they can get money when they get to the NBA...so frustrating.

I think that is why I like the Sixers now, and even when Iverson was here, he had passion and heart.
But now this team plays good games and they're young and it just seems like they're having fun doing it.

watching jordan was amazing
college is much more exciting and intense to watch, but i loved it when the knicks had all those players suspended and they had to play all the bench players. they played real basketball and won a couple games and played competitively. hmmm...

Michael tried to reach and Iverson pulled up and threw the ball in the basket.

Iverson beat him on two crossovers, come on.

Iverson's role player was like Derrick Coleman

haha, there's a whole lot more reasons than role players that Iverson didn't win 6 titles.

yeah, but don't try to compare him with Jordan just cause you're from Philly.

I had the youth sizes of Red, White, and Black Bulls #23, had a red #45, and I have a Wizards one. Of course, the majority of those youth sizes don't fit anymore, but yeah. I love the man, I drove to the mall yesterday just to check out the new Jordans (I don't got the $175 to buy em yet).

I agree that Iverson has passion and the Sixers may still have passion, but when players like Derrick Coleman can dog it on the court, seemingly not care about the game at all... that's where I draw the line.
Players like Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, guys like that, guys who put it all out there, are the only ones who deserve a fat paycheck, not the other guys.
