All today, it hasnt been letting me edit my avatar photo, or any profile pictures.

It does that a lot. Try uploading your avatar to photobucket and using the url to upload it.

Just curious, a few years ago on this site I swear that there used to be a big list of pre-made avatars to choose from. Does this site not have that anymore? :)

not sure i this is what your looking for, but in the Gallery they have a bunch of Avatar icons
