so, why are you in the sack with Vilsack, if you don't mind me asking? Sure he has an interesing biography, being an orphan and all, coming from humble roots as well. And yes, he is Governor, giving him the only executive experience in the crowded Democratic field besides Governor Richardson. But he doesn't seem to inspire me. And right now, he's been attacking Edwards and Obama on their positions regarding the Iraq War and troop withdrawal, yet it seems to me, he's just lurching all the way to the most liberal position in order to build a bigger name for himself. Is immediately pulling every troop out of Iraq and cutting the funding appropriate and/or reasonable? I prefer Obama's comprehensive, graudal withdrawal by 08. I don't know sir, maybe we'll just have to see more from him. Either way, if he doesn't win the Iowa caucas, his home state, you can put a big silver fork in him.

and yes, Jay T needs to sticky this.

I think Vilsack is probably the strongest VICE-presidential candidate.

He has a story that appeals to emotion, is from Iowa, he has also never lost a race he has entered. My vote is obviously for Obama/Vilsack and not Vilsack

I really like what he has to say when it comes to energy consumption. When I watch all the speeches his is the only one that I can say "hes saying what I want to here". Even if he is vice president that would be fine with me.

I was reading Daily Kos today, and Kos makes a good point about Vilsack. If you have read recent remarks by the Governor, he has taken a very strong stance for immediate withdraw and ending the war. In fact he has even criticized Obama who was consistently against the war. Yet Kos simple asks, what has Vilsack done to end the war? He largely remained on the sidelines. Additionally, he was chairman of the DLC, which if you know this centrist organization, was very for "staying the course," and "pro-defense," and often criticized anti-Iraq War views among Democrats. They felt that anti-war views were largely from out of touch liberals who were undermining the traditions of "FDR, Truman, and JFK." Yet again, back to the main point, as chair of the DLC, did he do anything to change the course of debate among the organization? I'm not attacking him per say, but, Kos had a point.

bye bye vilsack. sorry we have to politicians buy their way to the oval office. However, it would have been embarrassing if he came in third or fourth in his own state of Iowa.
