It pains me to realize that I could read that without even trying that hard... *weeps for self*

Oh and Ellen is AWESOME. I love that show. It's really the only daytime TV I can stomach anymore. Haha. I wish she'd talk to the guys, but no one ever talks to the musical guest. D:

:D ELLEN!

PETE HAD BETTER COME OUT AND DANCE! LOL.

Yes...that was hilarious...

Seriously though, I didn't pay attention to the thread when GYm Class Heroes were on Ellen, but I'm pretty sure it didn't involve calling them sell-outs. I never understood why people get so upset when a band they like gets the opportunity to promote themselves to a wider audience. Fall Out Boy might be the biggest band in America right now...and, to be honest, I would much rather it be them than Nickelback.

I mean, I have my memories of seeing them in a small club, and I know those days are gone...but, goddamn...I'd much rather listen to them on the radio than the shit that gets played. Grats to them for getting mass market attention!

Yay! Someone who finally shares my opinion! I mean is it so bad that they get recognition for doing what they love??? i mean, loads of the people on this site are in aspiring bands, and all they do every day is call fall out boy a bunch of sellouts for appearing on shows like this, if they finally make it, would they like to be called sellouts for appearing on shows to get more recognition? uh no, so people....STOP CALLING FALL OUT BOY A BUNCH OF SELLOUTS!!!!

Thanks and have a nice day

Obvious reason why FOB is completely huge, # 1: While working yesterday, a 40 year old soccer mom drove up blasting "Arms Race" at full blast, without any kids in the car... and she was singing along.
I'm still a fan of Fall Out Boy, regardless.
Anyone else think Pete will make some sort of stand or social commentary about respecting homosexuals (see "G.I.N.A.S.F.S.") on Ellen, or is that too much depth for this show?
(I'm not being sarcastic, I just really don't watch talk shows.)

BridgeJumper
02/18/07, 08:48 AM
haha maybe they'll play the one with gay in the title, except they just put the letters...well, since I read that pete admitted to making out with guys, guess it's not that weird..

i didn't even realize that ellen was daytime programming for most places. in my city, it comes on at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, so i watch it on occassion after school it's really not bad.

Okay, Fall Out Boy.

Gym Class Heroes went on Ellen because Ellen herself heard them and asked them on. She does that a lot, if you watch the show. She's had all kind of artists on and they are generally ones she has picked herself and enjoys. Hell, if I had a band and Ellen Degeneres called me up and said she was a fan, I'd do her show, even if I had a death metal act. LOL.

all in all, its like being a proud parent watching their kid grow up to be successful, sort of...

every time a band makes it big, someone always says or insinuates that they sold out. if they did who cares, they are making hella bank doin it, and youre sitting here, typing about it. there are other things to complain about. just let them make their money. I'm sure they arent really losing that many fans just because a few elitist wannabes think they sold out.
