Seems he has been cleared to fight again, and is passing his HIV tests. Apparently after 10 years of being HIV, he either is the first person on the face of the planet to cure the virus or never really had it all along? That seriously sucks for the guy if he never really had it, well other than the part about not having HIV.
those of you that might not remember him, he was in Rocky V, here's a pic:

magic johnson says hi.
but seriously, who would step in the ring with him, regardless of what these tests say?

johnson i believe still admits to being HIV positive, he's just has it supressed to where it isn't doing anything to him, Morrison on the other hand is testing HIV negative meaning he doesn't have HIV, if you test positive and then negative then something was up
there's a documented cause in Europe of a man who tested HIV positive then negative but the guy won't come forward now to do more testing on it to find out what might have "cured" him, there's also been cases in africa where they say people have "shook" the virus. From everything i've been told throughout time, i thought you can't cure a virus you can only supress

Well if someone messed up the original positive test then he stands to make some huge malpractice money.

Which is part of the reason to question his statements. And it's also a coincidence that he's fighting in one of the only states that doesn't require boxers to take drug tests prior to fights (and who fights in West Virginia?). If he actually does not have HIV then he would be milking as much money from the original testers as possible. He's had years of boxing money that has been taken away and yet he won't sue. His opponent is just as big of an idiot though for risking getting infected.

He's claiming steroids caused the false positive.

There's an article on espn that said the guy that he just fought personally reviewed his Tommy's medical records before the fight.
It could have been doctored, but it seems pretty legit.

It's just very odd that he was given a positive HIV test, and then it took him 10 years to go back for another test.

He just creamed some dude in 2 rounds
He just creamed some dude in 2 roundsi didn't see the fight but he supposedly lost the first round and realized the dude he was fighting was a complete bum and just decked him. i don't think the guy has any realistic shot at getting back into the fray even with the heavyweight division being the way it is.

he claimed a few years ago that he didn't have it, he just didn't press the issue very far.
i think he needed to have the boxing commission sanction a test for him with their own doctors before they just let him fight. this is a sport involving cuts and blood from both men, which is not safe if he does in fact have hiv.
im not saying he does, but it seems like the fight commisison in which ever state he fought in (wv?) kinda just took his word for it. and if he never had it, he'll probably win enough money in a suit to make up for 10 years of not cashing in on million dollar purses.
