The Used (http://www.absolutepunk.net/theused)'s first single off their new album will be "The Worm" and will hit radio (http://fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=16770) mid March.

That was their greatest hits/live compilation. They have a new studio album coming out. Too bad everyone hates The Used now, (except for me I still <3 em)

I've never listened to a Used album all the way through. A couple songs here and there. It's just one of those bands everyone talks about but you never actually sit down and listen to.

Uh. For particular bands I can relate to this supposed "singles whore" thing, but I'm someone who is known to put the entire album on my iPod irregardless if theres only one good song.

Nope. I never really listened to their latest album but I've heard the single and I'm A Fake (which I think it a great song) and from their other albums, I've only heard select songs also. I'm looking forward to the new album though.

Your not alone. I've enjoyed listening to The Used's albums. But I've never actually listened to one all the way through, front to back.

Instead of looking forwards to this with excitement, I'm looking fowards to it with hesitation. This is probably going to be make-or-break to whether I am a fan of the The Used the band, or The Used the album.

I second that. I've heard a couple of their old songs and I dig, but the videos of the newer stuff they have is pretty horrible.

I might sound like one of those jump off the bandwagon types, but their first album was incredible, and well, their second album was terrible. People didn't stop listening to this band because they got big, they stopped listening because The Used became terrible.

Unless this new album is anything like the first album of theirs, you can count me out on it...i hated In Love And Death...it was too pop-punk with screamo and I saw "All That Ive Got" too many times to even care anymore....
But if its like their first record, ill love it..that cd is sweetness from front to back and its just a good rock record...
In Love And Death was just not good...i think I liked one song off the entire cd..and that got old within 5 seconds....so this whole thing is a make or break deal for me basically.
Honestly The Used's singles ARE the best songs they have... Buried Myself Alive, On My Own, and Blue & Yellow.. good songs.
They've gone downhill though.. but those three songs still have a special place for me.

although everyone seems to hate it, i liked the majority of in love and death. obviously the first album was the best hands down, but i didn't hate the second album. i thought it was good, just not as good.

This is exactly it. Their debut will always be one of my favorite CD's, I love bulimic.

It's strange how they've released a sampler of their new song called "Handsome Awkward". I figured that would be their new single.
And yes, their self-titled CD was my favourite. That was a solid CD. But In Love And Death was almost as good as that, and I don't care what anyone else thinks. I appreciate the fact that they don't make the same record over and over again. Hopefully their new CD will be just as good as the rest.

Good song... but doesn't really connect to me emotionally. The three songs I listed were what I listened to non-stop right before and after my girlfriend broke up with me in high school. Granted, I don't listen to that kind of stuff anymore when I'm down... I still have some nostalgic feelings of when I was a typical high school softy feeling the words...
