I don't know if it's the same there, but we have to pay for these sports packages to be able to watch things other than what's aired on CBC (which is usually most Canadian games). That's why I hate Sportsnet but I have to watch it if I want to get a good idea of how the season is shaping up (I just haven't been following anyone but the Leafs and Islanders this year)

Seriously, the refs at the past couple of Lightning games have been calling every minor thing and ignoring so many major penalties.
Players are taking so many dives now, too

Yeah, maybe it's just me but I can't see Spezza or Comrie (who's only ever fought Kovalchuk) taking on a player inserted into the Sabres lineup solely on the basis of his ability to wail on opposing players. Buffalo handled the situation completely wrong anyway. You either defend Drury on the spot (not after a whistle) or you take care of it later when Neil is on the ice. Pummeling goalies and scorers is kinda sad, especially coming from a purported tough guy.

That fight definitely bugged me a little. Stock and Cloutier both went after fighters with absolutely no experience. It was more like bullying than an actual fight and I'm usually a PJ Stock fan. Cloutier is just a mediocre piece of shit anyways.

Maybe if your cable includes like 5 chanels...but who could possibly not get sportsnet or tsn? thats like pretty much included on basic cable.

I'm going to go through your point in chronological order:
Andrew Peters was in the lineup last night because of injuries, not because we want him to kick some ass. We have no option other than to play him when we had already lost 5 forwards.
Drew Stafford fought Chris Neil right after the hit. Bryan Murray was an idiot for sending his fairy Comrie-Spezza-Heatley line onto the ice IMMEDIATELY after Chris Neil (who should have received a charging penalty) just knocked our CAPTAIN out of the game.
Not only that, but Dany Heatley was throwing elbows at Pat Kaleta before the faceoff was even dropped. The referees should have stepped in RIGHT THEN AND THERE if they wanted to stop anything from happening. You have to be retarded to not know how high the tension is right after a questionable hit knocks a team's leader out of the game.
No one came to the defense of Emery for 2 reasons. #1, he likes to box. He knows how to fight, and his teammates knew that. #2, Anton Volchenkov was paired off with Adam Mair and Jason Spezza, Chris Phillips was tied up with Patrick Kaleta. Who was going to stick up for Emery--Dany Heatley, or Mike Comrie?
Bryan Murray should have seen this situation coming. He's just a blubbering, stuttering, lisping idiot.

This was not Murray's first game in the NHL, he knew what was coming regardless of whether the hit was legal or late. His decision to put his skill players out there was moronic.

Bryan Murray has been coaching in the NHL since 1981, any idiot would know what was going to happen. Obviously because it was in Buffalo, they get last change. But still...he should have had a pretty good idea what Buffalo was going to do. He could have even called a timeout to get those players off the ice. WOuld you want to see 3 of your best players lined up agaisnt 3 tough guys? Its just all around bad coaching on his part. I dont blame Spezza or Heatley for fighting back, they should never have been there in the first place.

Yea, Emery smiling as he came to fight was pretty awesome, but overall it was a weak fight.
Cloutier v. Salo is a classic. Cloutier is the man. I've never seen a goalie challenge the bench before until I saw that video. I believe Marty McSorely(not 100% sure it was him, but it was an old bad ass Bruin) called out entire benches a few times, and no one wanted a piece of him for sure.
The Lalime/Dafoe fight was pretty good. I'm glad the Blues let Lalime go, he was soft in net, plus he got his ass whipped by Dafoe, and a showing that pathetic is reason enough for me to never want him on my team to begin with.
It also comes to no surprise that Guerin beat the hell out of Chris Neil. Guerin was awesome when he was with Boston. Does anyone remember.....I think it was game 6 of the 2001-02 playoffs when Guerin layed Theodore out at the very end of the game(and series for Boston)?
I'm not gonna post any more vids on this page, because there are alot already, but if you want some good goalie action, look no further than RON HEXTALL. He was a freaking beast.
