since everyone made a big deal about me leaving these guys out, i re-did the poll
what happened to 'other'?
what happened to 'other'?
he re-did the poll for us, give him a break.
I voted for Craig Owens as I did the first time but Ace Enders is a close second then Anthony Green. I love Ace but his voice gets weak and gives out a lot.

Vocals can be judged by different views...
there is just overall sound ( which is mostly opinoin )
then there is how the vocals are presented
and stuff like timing, how it gives a nice flow. ( based on song writing )
So its kinda hard to say who is the "Best" vocalist, there is many different styles, etc.

nah the forum is full of tools under the illusion Anthony Green has talent.
they apparently feel the same way about patrick stump, I'm surprised I'm the only person who voted for Geoff

Daryl Palumbo he has the whole range
Screams, Growls, Pop singing, post hardcore singing.

actually you're right, I just remembered that he is really good acoustic as evidenced by this ne-yo cover

Well, I voted for Ace Enders, but you revised this poll, and still I see no female vocalists. There should be some to choose from.

patrick honestly has great vocals. i think he just needs to be singing music that's slower. his voice sounds much stronger and annucniated that way.

...Anthony, Jesse, or Geoff should be winning.

I voted for him because I think he has good range. He sounds a lot better with his side project Cinematic Sunrise because he actually sings on it, I went more off of that. Hes really good live too, he sounds exact and dosent lose his voice, unlike Geoff Rickly, maybe Im judging unfairly but the one time I seen him live he kept losing his voice and couldnt hit his notes, maybe he had a cold, idk. Saying all that I am regretting more and more not voting for Ace.

Daryl Palumbo he has the whole range
Screams, Growls, Pop singing, post hardcore singing.
Only singer there who is genuinly good as much as i love Geoff.
I love Geoff too, as well as Daryl. but Daryl's live peformance is always horrible. he is either absolutely trashed, drugged up, or too sick.
Anthony Green has all the same qualities, but a lot better.
any one who disagrees with his capability of screaming. listen to Saosin. or even his old old old music project Jeer At Rome.

On this I voted for Patrick. Sometimes he'll do something on record that amazes me.
...now if he could just keep that up on stage, he'd be set.
Personal choice would be Sebastian from Dropping Daylight. Amazing vocals both live and on record, and an awesome range.

See my quote. I wouldn't say worst live singer, but he's definitely only considered quality for the sake of his studio voice.

I went Patrick. He has a great voice, and good control of it. The timing on the new CD is definetly unique, It's refreshing with so many bands going mainstream. But, geez this has to be of living people because I don't see Robert Plant, Kurt Kobain, Mercury, or McJagger. And why didn't couldn't you give Axel a mention. He's not doing anything but he had a great voice...and is alive. Nice poll though. Good choices.

Anything Green (Circa Survive)
Nicolas Torres (Northstar/Cassino)

Claudio Sanchez (Coheed & Cambria)
Jesse Lacey (Brand New)
Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin)
Thom Yorke (Radiohead)
Chris Carrabba (Dashobard Confessional)

Ace Enders (The Early November, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business)
Jarrod Gorbel (The Honorary Title)
John Nolan (Straylight Run)
Imogen Heap (Frou Frou)
Bryce Avary (The Rocket Summer)
i went with patrick stump, he sounds good on all the records.

i agree completely
i went with patrick, i've always thought his overall vocal range is amazing, he does have a lot of soul for a short white guy. ace and max were both close seconds, they're all amazing in such different ways.

Best singer on there is Patrick and I'm basing that off of how great his vocals are in Infinity On High. The best vocalist overall I think is Kenny Vasoli from The Starting Line because of the amazing emotion he puts into his singing.

I'd have to agree. While I haven't seen Glassjaw live, I've seen Head A, and it was phenomenal singing. Bottom line is when Daryl is healthy, he has insane range, a beautiful voice, and a blood-curdling scream. But I really was torn on whether or not to vote for Jesse.
If Daryl is 1, then Jesse is 1A. When I saw Jesse live, he was amazing. His voice hit every note and was very powerful. And his screaming vocals are also really strong, which was something I didn't expect. I think that Daryl can probably do a little bit more with his voice, but Jesse deserves all the credit in the world. The guy is a great singer and an amazing performer... and IMO the best lyricist in the biz.
