My local music store is selling an Epiphone by gibson Les Paul with an amp, gig bag and accessories for $185.
But they don't have a left-handed package. So what I can do is - Have them switch the nut and strings over to lefty for $10, or have them order a left-handed Epiphone and switch it into the package for $30 or $40.
Which should I choose? Help me out please.

that would be the logical thing to do, but i was wondering if it would fuck anything up on the guitar or whatever.
Jimmi Hendrix was left handed but couldn't afford a lefty guitar, so he bought a right handed strat, flipped the strings, and tought himself how to play, now he's known as one of the greatest guitarists ever, so i don't see what harm can come from reversing the strings

yeah, i'd just string that mother fucker upside down. i think it looks cool as shit. just look at hendrix and cobain.
cobain didn't reverse the strings... he just played it differently. that's what kris roe of the ataris does too. he plays a righty guitar left handed with the strings normal.

he did both, depending on what song he performed.

well from what vids i have seen he played how i said. but i havent seen tons of vids so you could be right.
Well, waiting for them to get a lefty would be the logical thing to do, but switching the nut, and the strings would be the cool thing to do.:D So go for it. Especially since it's a LP and you wouldn't need to change the strap peg.
