everytime i've seen you guys live , you have blown me away. my paricular favorite was your tour with finch when your first record was just released. would you ever consider doing a small club tour again? and do you plan on playing warped again? that was an amazing experience as well, seeing you jump from the top of the speakers into the crowd.

i've heard crazy stories about bert on tour, dealing with drugs. do you guys still experiment with drugs heavily? is that one of the reasons branden left? i know that he was drug free or whatever.

regardless, you guys are amazing musicians and i hope your new album lives up to the previous two. there was a bit more "nu-metal" influence on the second, try and stay away from that.

- (For Bert in particular, of course) There's been a lot of speculation as to wether or not you still drink and do drugs, or that you've been cleaning up your act recently (your fans are more than a little hopeful that this is the case). Care to clear the air about any of that?

To the Used: Are these rumors of no screaming on the new CD true? If so, how do you think it will affect your credibility with your true fans who have been around since the s/t LP, considering Bert's screaming/singing ability is in many ways a scene benchmark and a band signature?
If this rumor is true: Were you pressured by the label to write songs without screams so they would be more accessible for radio play/album sales?
Do you consider yourselves sell-outs for giving into label demands and dumbing down your once meaningful, intense music for radioplay and a cash grab?

(BTW: I seriously hope this is just a rumor, because while I respect artistic growth, if I have to listen to an entire album full of "Light With a Sharpened Edge" I will not buy the record.)

To Saosin: Many of the questions from the Used could be asked as well to them, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt from having a new singer... even though I've seen Cove live in one of the first tours they did with him and he was able to handle the screaming fine.

Bert has been forthcoming about his past drug use. He's also been very open about things in his life like his religion, his family situation, and his ex-girlfriend's suicide. Bert doesn't hide a whole lot of stuff (though there are some things he pointedly refuses to comment on) and it's one of the reasons some people connect with him. He's talked about his past drug use, and he's mentioned vaguely that he doesn't do certain things anymore, and a lot of fans are wondering what that means. I.e. Does he not drink OR do drugs? Or does he still drink but not as much? Etc.

I think that if asked, he'll be honest about it, or at least make some comment, and there are a lot of genuine fans who worry about his health, which has never been 100% good.

Most music magazines are too pussy to ask that sort of question. AP.net has a history of asking tough things; questions fans actually want answers to instead of softball bullshit.

Don't call people idiots for asking certain types of questions unless you understand the precedent and an artist's interview history responding to similiar ones.

awesome question. Translating the name was so amazing. and I have to say I was quite disappointed by the new, softer rock and in my opinion not so great lyrical content in this album. I appreciate the change/evolution, however I just liked the screaming and intensity that was once there.

There is no sticker on the Regular Edition, but the Special Edition with the DVD has a sticker, so I'm thinking they curse on the DVD.
