ok I just finished it

it was up for some awards last night. Its about this woman (kate winslet) and she lives in this town with her young daughter. She ends up having an afair with another man who also has a family - theres a couple more characters who sort of get connected within the plot.

It was...okay...i guess. a little depressing almost, some of the stuff was a little much for me. The ending sort of left it open, on a better note - hope for the future type thing.

I dont know, it wasn't horrible...just sort of a dark movie

really? i appreciate the movie, i mean it was really well done. I love Kate Winslet - but I didn't really like it that much, maybe it just wasn't for me.

that scene seriously scarred the shit out of me. that part was so fucked up - it was so creepy. :-(

I was happy for Alan Arkin, but in all honesty, Jackie Earle Haley gave the best performance in that category, for that scene alone.

Mega-bump, just watched it a while ago and it's one of the best movies I've seen in a long long time. I'm surprised it didn't get more acclaim.
