Starting in the tourney, the Nike swoosh on the OSU jersey's will be replaced with Lebron's "LBJ23" logo, thus making the school a Lebron James Brand, much like North Carolina is a Jordan Brand. The only funny thing is is that Lebron never went to college, so I find this hilarious.

that is odd, you would think it would happen at like Akron since that's where a couple of his high school teammates play

If I was a 22 year old millionaire the last thing I would be doing was having kids.

I just think that it's a dumb idea. It would be better to built the brand more before sponsoring a college team, and although OSU has a great team this year, they don't seem to be a perennial contender like UNC or have the college basketball "aura" surrounding them like schools such as Kansas, Kentucky, Georgetown, Duke, Vandy, etc.

I think it's stupid for a Jordan sponsered team or whatever and it's even more stupid for a Lebron one. Put the swoosh on it and call it a day. No need for anything else.

Well at least Jordan went to college you know. It would have been a better idea to use the Lebron brand on elite high school teams.

Come on now. Holding it against Lebron that he didn't go to college is a little ridiculous.

I'm not holding anything against Lebron. It's weird marketing on Nike's part.

I don't think so at all. He's a very marketable guy, you say Lebron and you know who everyone's talking about. Putting his name on whatever you can only does good things for nike.

haha, this isn't gonna get his name out anymore than what it is hahahahahaaha

He was one of the greatest high school players ever, therefore (in my logic) it would make sense to have him "sponser" or "brand" elite high school teams (SVSM, Oak Hill, etc.) than college where he never stepped on a court.

It's nothing against LBJ, I love Lebron, I have every pair of his shoes. It's just odd marketing on Nike's part.

Why would they market teams that get 2-3 games on National Television each year, and not a college team like Ohio State that's on national television every single week? I don't follow the logic.

its not odd marketing at all, they are branding a university that is going to likely make a run in the NCAA tournament.

they want it to be like the jumpman brand, and this is the right way to go about it.
