From the many many days spent here in the past, ive noticed one thing. People like to bitch/whine/complain about their personal lives. Having girl troubles with the opposite sex ? Are you pissed off at the world ? Are your parents actually making you do some work around the house ? Well, whatever it is. Anything going on in your personal life, please keep it within this thread. I just worked for the past 20 hours moving one of my friends uncle. I made 200 dollars so it was well worth it. I start college in 3 weeks and am somewhat nervous about it. I am thinking about chaning my major to business and trying to intern for Saddle Creek this summer.

I really don't care about the money, I just want the experience. And not to mention I would probably meet every Saddle Creek artist, get tons of free stuff and go to lots of free shows. It has its advantages even without a paycheck.

i'm preparing for my second year in a catholic private school next year. i can't relate to a single person in my class, you can't wear shirts without sleeves, mass is required - i don't believe in god.

my mother is a depressed, dramatic has-been with an anxiety disorder and a drinking problem. she screams in my face when she assumes i'm being disrespectful, kicks me, chokes me, and tells me to get the hell out of her house but when i head for the door, she refuses to let me leave.

my father, a former cocaine-smuggler, owns an apartment in hawaii, thousands of dollars in video equipment, blows 100 dollar bills like they're no more important than the paper he uses to wipe his ass...but can never seem to afford the 200 dollars a month in child support he is legally obligated to pay me.

my step-mother is japanese with small teeth and a flat head and who married my father so she could stay in the country. she is 26. my dad is 47.

my step-father has been attracted to me for more than a year.

the rest of my family are either holyrollers with no dreams other than to make it into 'the kingdom of heaven' and who think that saying 'pissed off' is a sin..or former drug dealers and runaways who must now pop pills to stay happy.

i have no real friends. there are plenty of people who consider themselves my friends, but have no idea who i truly am..and who make no attempt to find out. i hate them all.

the only thing i ever take pleasure in is music. and the occasional insult.

i am a paranoid, untrusting 16 year old reclusive girl with low self-esteem, suicidal tendencies, who is never satisfied, and who likes her own company. i am untamed inside, a 'free spirit' if you will, who feels home in city streets and craves change and excitement 24 hours of the day, but who is trapped and suffocating beneath a small town, a dysfunctional family, and dull friends. i have dreams, yes. dreams that i can't pursue until i'm 18 years old, in my own custody, and out of this shithole. the only time i can imagine myself being truly happy is when i'll be with other kids who understand, can relate, love me for who i am, and whom music means as much to them as it does to me.

i believe there is no hope for the future of america as long as there is goverment.

i believe anarchy will bring the end of human freedom and compassion.

i don't believe in anything except for falling in love and music.

i own a computer.

for me, trying to keep my friends meant a lot to me but now it doesn't matter anymore. just as long as i have my music and can be me then I'll be alright. I've been happy being alone (cause i move around a lot) but for once i've become really happy with myself because i realized that i shouldn't let things get to me" because i'm nearly the same. freshman year, popularity was a first priority. couple years later, i've grown and matured inexplicable amounts. and, like you, as long as i have my music, i too will be alright. i like being alone a lot of the time, but that's mostly because there's no one i know that i like. but yes..generally i'm a happy person. everyone has their problems, and many have much worse problems than i do. so bottom line: i'm a happy kid. i've got some problems, but i haven't let them become issues because, like you, i also don't let things get to me. hooray for us.

well see i have been waiting for one of these threads...

ok well my dad is terminally ill with some blood clotting disease, and it has been terrible becuase they didnt know what it was until about 1990, he had to take drugs and then he became an addict, and last summer he went and got better, but he's still an asshole and i wish he would work but he can't. my mom is a work aholic, my brother has been a stoner for about 2 or 3 years, and after being grounded numerous times, and he is finally getting over that.

I dont have a true best friend that can always be there for me. my old best friend sold me out to her boyfriend.... you think it may be one of these normal highschool relationship... but when my friend told her that they were going to "eventually break up' she said she would never ever say a thing like that and that they will probably get married.

The only thing i have to hold onto is music and books. I love books, especially about faliing in love. Yet i have never been in love.. well i thought i was with this guy that lives 25 mins away and i cant see becuase i cant drive.... and hes the coolest guy ever.

There arent any cool kids in my school, they are either people that listen to rap and hate black ppl although they think they are "black" and then there are the harcore kids. While i'm the kinda person thats christian... i dont do drugs... i dont drink.

So thats basically why my life sucks

My parents see me as a big disappointment too, they never acknowledge my achievements and stuff, losers. Today was my 17th birthday. I wake up at 12 oclock, and not one person is home. My mom comes home with my 9 year old sister a good hour later. My mom walks upstairs and goes to bed. My sister runs and gets me a present, the Dropkick Murphys "Live on St. Patrick's Day" CD. I open it and thank her, and love the CD. I've listened to it 3 times already today.

3 oclock rolls around, my brother gets home and falls asleep on the couch, then 4 oclock hits and 2 of my friends pick me up and I go to the movies, they're bday present to me. My mom calls at 6, while im in the movies, and tells me I'm gounded for not being home for my birthday dinner, THAT I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD. She tells me as soon as I get home, I'm grounded. So I dont go home.

I spend the evening at my friends house, the one who took me to the movies. We just hang out cuz there's nothign else to do, and her dad says happy birthday to me. I go home eventually, because I felt bad just intruding in their home because I dont want to see my family. I get home and my mom screams at me. My whole family knows I have a cell phone as do my "friends", I didnt hear a word from my brother, my dad, and of my uncles or aunts or cousins, niehter of my sets of grandparents, no other friends. O wait, 3 other friends said happy birthday online, but only because I told them it was my birthday. No messages on the machine or written on the chalkboard for messages at home, either. So now I'm sitting here, crying for the first time in a few years because, except for a handful of people, no one cares. I got 2 presents, a CD and a trip to the movies.

Now I'm grounded, sitting here dreaming about the Dead Poetic concert I'll miss tomorrow and the warped tour ive wanted to see for 3 years. (2 years ago was the first one i knew about, but i never got around to it, then last year, my family drives 8 hrs to Boston.. on my bday... and comes home the day of warped.. tour so I missed it.) I realized today that I have 2 good friends and only one caring relative.

And to top it off, my neighbor's house burned down and Bob Hope died. Happy birthday.

ya kidinthecorner...that is pretty harsh but I can definitely relate to you. Ever since i turned 13 my parents barely remember my birthday. Since my birthday falls on a school day usually my friends just say happy birthday and administer the proper number of birthday punches, but if it weren't on a school day, I doubt they'd care at all to even call me. My girlfriend forgot my 16th birthday. Much like you, only my siblings recognize my birthday....heh, my 10 year old brother gave me a card that said "happy sweet sixteen" and gave me a pokemon card...he rocks. I say take what you can get dude, might not be much, but it beats nothing at all.

My best friend in the world is moving to Albuquerque anytime between mid-October and Christmas. you know, no matter how unserious that post was intended to be, i can't think of a better solution to your problem. a couple of months ago i was in a really serious, although really immature, relationship and my mother, being the complete lunatic she is, tried to forbid me from ever seeing my then-boyfriend again. why? simply because she didn't have control over a situation and she couldn't stand it. so one night, while the devil herself was trying to pry information from me, i went completely fucking insane on her. i started screaming and punching the dryer and walls. when my hands began to bleed and i could no longer effectively punch..i started to kick. when my legs became numb, i just stood screaming incoherently into the bitch's face. after she realized i could yell much louder and much longer than she could, the whore who gave birth to me backed off and said she would be more lenient with me and my relationship. needless to say, i grew up quickly after that and dumped the lame pussy bastard a month later.....but this is all a prime, firsthand account of just how effective "going nuts on your parents" can be. i suggest you try something of a lesser severity first...but if all else fails, just kick the fuckers in the face and run off to your girlfriends house. haven't tried it yet....but i'm sure if you kicked them hard enough they wouldn't want you back enough to send police out to search for you... give it a shot. what can it hurt?

My back hurts. Want to know why? Let me take you back to Christmas (winter) break, 7th grade (I'm going in to 12th now, so thats what, 5 years ago? 4 1/2? )

I'm playing hockey, cuz thats what I do.
I hit this little kid and I was getting a penalty for the check, I think boarding or something, cuz the kid was tiny. I touch the puck and the whistle blows and the ref starts talking to me, so this is obviously after the whistle.
I'm standing about 5 ft from the boards, maybe a little more, and i turn around, and this kid runs me just as I catch sight of him, so I'm way offguard.
I go flying headfirst, backwards (make sense?) into the boards and I hit the ledge where the glass meets the boards. All the pressure from the collision shoots straight down my back and I am knocked out cold, too.
I wake up... ooo I guess it was 20 minutes later, I don't really know, thats what I remember hearing later, with 2 paramedics, the trainer, my uncle (my coach) and my mom standing over me. I'm already on a stretcher, still in all my hockey shit, with a neckbrace on. They tell me to try and wiggle my toes or feet or something, and I cant. They ask the same of my fingers. I cant.
So its off to the ER. I get tehre and still cant move, get shipped around to the x-ray room, get x-rays of my neck. There's nothing wrong, apparently, so they just.. tell me to lay there.

Fucking 6 hours later I start to move again. I can move my arms a little, but its kind of painful. I spent the whole night there and eventually I could move, but it was terrible. I have never "felt" a worse "feeling" than not being able to feel anything. Its terrible and scary as fuck.

Flash forward to the present day, and lots of pain pills, and I spent way too much time on my feet today and am out of meds. There's today's rant for you.

I have cousins that live in Japan and they are half American, half Japanese. They live in Tokyo, and since they are a mixed race, they aren't exactly what people are used to and with all the traditions that a lot of Japanese people have, having half-white kids is offensive to many people they see. They go to a US school for kids like themselves and they know Japanese and English. They're the coolest kids I know and they are like 9 and 11 or somethig like that.

Soooo there is this girl that I met at my college orientation at the end of June right. And like we've been talking since a lot online and a couple times over the phone. Yeah, I'm really inexperienced with girls and still have much to learn about how a woman thinks and yeah and it may sound lame but this is all new and exciting to me. But the bummer is that we really havent seen each other since orientation and its not like I havent tried because I've invited her to hang out A LOT, but like her parents are like crazy strict and really SUPER RELIGIOUS so its been hard trying to hang out. And ummm we never really have talked about past or current relationships, I doubt that she has a boyfriend but in the back of my mind I think it could happen WITH MY LUCK, but then again we wouldnt be talking like this if she did have one. I want to get serious with her and we'll be seeing each other at school and stuff at the end of September especially since we will be in the same class (haha, I registered to be in the same class with her so we could 'hang out') but the thing is I want to get serious with her before school starts because I don't want some douchebag trying to steal her away from me...yeah, thats what I'm going through..

If anyone could enlighten me with any advice or anything like that it would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advanced.

Yeah, right now. I don't know what the fuck happened except for the fact that the internet can be evil and yeah. I was writing about how a teacher at the school I just graduated at had passed away in my journal and it was around 3:30 in the morning. One of my friends IMs me and yeah his spelling was all fucked up and stuff and then he was really being weird and stuff and he admitted to me that he had drunk for the first time tonight because his sister graduated from bootcamp or whatever, this kid is a good kid and hes pretty clean cut and is about to go and join the Marines himself until he broke his thumb which postponed his trip to bootcamp. but yeah talking to him online was depressing he couldnt type worth shit and told me to call him and stuff. I was trying to be the good friend and told him to go to sleep or whatever but he refused it was depressing. He also said that he had just went to a God Rock festival or something and he feels like shit for sinning which led to messages like "I'M SORRY GOFD' and shit over and over and like "I SINNED DUFDE" and yeah it was sad. My dad's just a friggin nazi. I am honestly treated like his slave. He will be 5 feet away from the fridge and make me get him a soda. He use to be an alcholic. I do every possible chore in the household, and its NEVER EVER good enough. My dad comes home, makes me fix him dinner, goes upstairs. Watches tv. Takes a shower. Goes to bed. Thats it, ever.

My dad verbally abuses me. He cusses me out and yells at the top of his lungs and you can never get the full effect unless you actually are here then youd understand. He never shows any sign of affection towards me. Last time he told me he loved me was 2 years ago, and that was when i mentioned that he never did it. And i think that really has damaged every relationship ive had with any guys. I'm losing faith in the opposite sex.

When he started watching porn on our computer i caught on to him. One day me and my mom basically caught him because i stopped window washer (software to delete memory of any cookies, visited sites etc) The next day when my mom had left to go somewhere, he yelled at me and hit me. He's slammed my brother up against the laundry room wall before, and it litterally collapsed. I called the police, but my dad told me not to show them the wall. I listened like a dumbass. My dad treats me 100x worse then my brother. I feed my older brother because im a girl. I do the clothes and dishes because im a girl. I cant go to concerts because im a girl. I'm the one gonna get pregnant, do drugs and drink.

My brother's smoked pot. hasnt gotten in trouble.
I crowd surf, and ADMIT it, and i never hear the end of it.

My mom has panic attacks. She's the only person i really have, and there are so many things i cant tell her because she'd be so disappointed in me if she knew.

We are poor as fuck. Ok ok, we have a computer, but thats probably the most expensive thing in our home.

The only thing i have are really music and my friends.

I was in love, im still in love with my ex. I broke up with him, but it was because he didnt want to put his heart into our relationship because he is going off to college and he didnt think we'd make it blah blah blah. I just really wish he'd go out with someone else so i could get over him

I ended up messing around with his best friend. I know, BIG NO NO, but it had nothing to do with my ex.


Unfortunately they are all in a band, so this now makes me a groupie.

Ever since senior year started, my three best friends have drifted so far from me and its like they dont even give a shit about me.


everyone found out about me and my ex's best friend because my other best friend (who i told) told my ex's best friend's ex-girlfriend who happens to be a good friend of mine.

Yeah, So I've bitched and bitched about how i couldnt hang out with some girl and well. Yesterday People of AP.net I GOT TO HANG OUT WITH HER. and it was sooo great. I had a great afternoon hanging out with her, we pretty much hung out with each other the whole time even if she brought people and I did too. It was sooo great. wow, I cant get my mind off her now, but yeah she said she had fun and stuff and it was awesome. I cant wait to hang out with her more. God, shes beautiful. wow. Yeah, wow...great times..

and let this be a lesson to you bitch about not hanging out with a girl on the net and you're wish of hanging out with her will come true, well it did for me at least... I'm happy. hehe.:)

I'm so pissed off at my parents. First they said I could go to San Diego (and Temecula!!) with my best bud. I was hecka looking forward to it, too. Then my mother and I get in a big fight about stupid stuff like me not wanting to do anything and not wanting to make friends with the people we went camping with. I'm like, wtf, this is so dumb. So then my parents said I can't go. Now, the night before my friend leaves, they say I can go. But my friend's dad already made new plans with their family friends. Grrrrrr so I can't go I hate my parents for not being able to make up their minds and being such assholes. It'd be better if they said no from the beginning so I can't think about what could have been. My mom is so awful. Man we never get along and she's on my ass nonstop and calling me all these named.
