Discuss the most amazing show ever.

PS: Anybody know a site where I can watch episodes online? There was a thread about this the other day, listing sites like that, but I can't seem to find one that features Homicide.

heard it was great, i need to check it out. I believe the people who make The Wire were involved with Homicide. Baltimore, despite being a crap city, makes for good television.

One of the best shows in television history. The creator went on to do OZ, also one of the greatest shows ever.

god, i remember this. First time i ever encountered Andre Braugher and the now famous John Munch. This was one of the old spin offs of Low and Order, right? Excellent show, went before its time.

I dunno if you'd call it a spinoff... maybe. It did have alot of crossover actors with Law and Order as did OZ.

Does anybody have an answer to the question in my original post? I have only seen about half of the episodes, and after watching the episode where Junior Bunk shoots up the squad rom, I have a very intense desire to watch more. Much more.

I'm gonna bump this.
Is this series worth watching/similar to the Wire?

it is not similar to the wire, but it has some of the same actors and the first few episodes before NBC basically took the show over are very interesting to see baltimore represented 10 years earlier.

i'm in the middle of season 4 now and it's gotten a little worse and more neutered with each season, but i'll keep watching as long as detective pembleton is around. dude is the fuckin' best.

it's odd though, either an episode is a total struggle to even sit through the 45 minutes or it's an incredible hour of television. there seems to be no middle ground.
