I don't think you can call Zabransky relatively unknown after an ESPN.com poll rated the Boise State /OK game the greatest college game of all time...you'd have to be living under a rock to not know who Zabransky is at this point.

I just like the idea that they're putting a true college player on there, not a guy who's going to be starting in the NFL the next year. It caters to the kids who go to mid-major schools, it's the underdog getting the final honor, it's an homage to the college game the way it's supposed to be played, with heart and passion, not for increased draft stock. I love it.

its not a magazine cover...EA Sports game have a huge fanbase, they dont care whose on the cover, they will still buy it...i bought Madden with Mcnabb on the cover, Im a Cowboys fan...it doesnt matter whose picture is on it, now if it was a brand new game that no ones heard of then yes, star power matters...

He was a person that America latched onto, rooting for the underdog. He showed passion and intensity on the field. How can you not see that? Don't try to compare him to Marc Bulger, the most serene and boring QB in the NFL...it would be more like putting Doug Flutie on the cover of Madden than Bulger.

I agree with you here, I know why they throw those guys on the cover, because they will think it will sale more. But in this instance the guy was part of a memorable college bowl game and probably one of the highlights of the college football year. He deserves it
