BELLE GLADE, Fla. - Not long after the family of Feraris "Ray" Golden found his dead body dangling from a tree outside his grandmother's home, ugly suspicions began to surface.

Police concluded Golden committed suicide, hanging himself with a work shirt as a noose. But relatives say that's impossible; they claim the 32-year-old, who was black, was found with his hands tied behind his back.

Rumors began swirling that Ray Golden was lynched.

Kind of disturbing to see that this stuff still goes on. Well, I guess it is Florida.

Hey Florida really isn't the south. If you've ever visited there you'd see what I mean, it really isn't considered a confederate state like Georgia or South Carolina. The South more or less stops at Valdosta. That's also stereotypical, not everyone in Florida or the south is racist. They killed a gay kid in Colorado just for being gay, not everyone there is a homophobe though. These are the things you have to be careful saying.

the vast majority of lynchings happen in the south though, it isn't like he said every southerner is going to lynch someone, only that the south has a history of it and they apparently haven't gotten past it yet....

Ok I don't want to get into semantics, but he said it in a way so as to insinuate you could expect this type of behavior out of a Floridian. That is what I had a problem with...
