I agree. I wasn't being entirely serious calling him insane, but I do believe that he's mostly an entertainer who's providing the kind of material that a certain demographic is looking for when it comes to political world views. I just find it almost impossible to take him seriously. I also think that he does a great deal of damage to the community that does have similar opinions as him but don't go crazy wih it. Anybody that glances over a group of conspiracy theorists will squeeze him in with their impression, and they'll assume that everybody who questions whether or not the government was involved with 9/11 (just to name a random example) also believes that our country is being taken over by reptilian human anomalies/aliens. You appear completely batshit because this guy is being bunched in with people that may be a bit more reasonable.

If there is evidence or a well-reasoned argument as to why I should believe them, then I can be persuaded. The government experimenting on its citizens seems conspiratorial and far-fetched, but we know that it happened on various occasions, notably the Tuskegee Experiments.

My main beef with these assholes that accuse politicians and public figures of being "lizard people" is not so much their absurd beliefs, but the fact that they detract from the credibility of more logical theories. You've got someone like David Icke who talks about some stuff that actually does make sense and that other people really look a lot into, and then he starts saying that our planet is being run by reptilian-human hybrids. Therefore, everything that he says, including the other stuff that others take seriously, looks completely ridiculous.

Just to clarify, though, I'm not necessarily a truther. But the 9/11 "Truth" theory does at least deserve to be looked at, but when one might try to expain it, they'll often get, "Oh Jesus, are you one of those people that believe George Bush is a lizard or something? Gawd."
