Saturday July 26th was a day that I will never forget. So many amazing bands, and of course the sun-poisoning. Oh yes. What a day.
The day started off with Brand New, who referred to themselves as the Early Morning Opening Band, which is a shame because for the retards that haven't heard how amazing Brand New is Live, as well as on cd, they missed out if they came late. I was glad that I caught them and also glad that I got to meet them. Their tour manager was an asshole, but other than that, they were great guys.
The second band that I got to see was Story Of The Year. HoLY GUACAMOLY. They are an awesome band, and They didn't mind meeting a new fan. They promised me that their cd wouldn't be pushed back any farther. (God damn people pushed it back too far already. They must have known that I want it really, really badly.)
I saw Yellowcard next, who were good, but not my highlight of the afternoon. I did get their setlist though. :)
Then came the Mad Caddies who were amazing. Not much to say, they were as good as every time I've seen them.
Yea, two bands you should definitely skip are S.T.U.N. and Simple Plan. A kid threw a bottle on stage, and the lead singer of Simple Plan tried to sound all kick-ass by telling the kid to meet him at his merchbooth. He said he'd kick the kids ass, but I just think that he wanted to sell him a shirt. "I'd do anything, just to fuck your mom." That was the ego-insertion they decided to put in for that crappy song.
THRICE OWNED. I love Thrice and they were crazy and very nice guys. MUST SEE them if you still have a warped date left.
Glassjaw was also great. The Used put on the best show in my opinion. Maybe it's just my jaded view of them because they are my favorite band, but when Bert dove off of two sets of speakers on the stage into the crowd, yea... he kicks ass. I got to meet them and I felt as giggly as a 12 year old school girl. Bert told me not to let anyone get in my way of becoming a music producer. He was also nice enough to put a message on my voicemail for me.
From Autumn To Ashes is a band that I don't believe belonged on the small stage. I've seen them 4 times now, and they get better everytime. The drummer is the most passionate drummer I've ever witnessed playing. It was awesome meeting them again because they're always nice dudes and they got me and my friends on stage. It was great.
Less Than Jake put on a good show, although I don't like their new stuff. Hello Rockview will never be topped.
Those are the bands that I reccomend seeing that I got a chance to see. I would say that Warped Tour 03 was about 100000000 times better that 02. I can't wait for so many bands to tour so I can see them again. Get out to the warped tour because you may not get another chance to see some of the bands in their entirety. (Ex: Taking Back Sunday... SoOOO Glad I went to the Takeover Tour.)
