Hardcore disappointments..

I was just thinking back on a few cd's I bought this year and realized my disappoinment in how boring they were. The latest was Poison the Well... I found that cd to be terrible boring in comparison to the last 2 full lengths. Next there was This Day Forward, an excellent band, but with their equal vision release, I think they mellowed out a lot and lost a lot of the fervor that I really enjoyed about them. And the first disappointment of that nature that I can think of was the Shai Hulud release of this year. It wasn't so much a disappointment I guess becuase I still really like the cd, but they mellowed out too... it just fit the trend of my post. So my point: has anyone noticed this same trend in the older bands and their new music?

yeah yeah, you're right it is good, but that still doesn't make up for PTW and TDF-- I've been so excited about those two albums.

Haha, Hot Damn! sucks. That's what you call a disappointment.

I like Hot Damn! I think it's a pretty catch album. Not necessarily the best musically, but it's atleast enjoyable.

same with me, cept when i won a contest on the radio and they sent me these shitty pop cd's as my prize, but every cd i bought passed then i loved.

I love PTW and i have really only heard a alittle of their new stuff. and to me it sounds okay... its not the best but its pretty good.
