Cake or Pie?

Mind you Im not considering brownies or cookies as cake.

Cheesecake counts as cake as well as cupcakes due to the cake namesake, Ice cream cake dosent count though because its just ice cream in cake form.
Vote wisely.

no question it's cake. unless it's key lime pie, which defeats all forms of cake.

I went with cake because I consume it more than pie.
Cake = Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, ect.
Pie = Thanksgiving.

Pie with ice cream does definately count, to me adding ice cream is like adding frosting to cake.

I like pie better because its good on its own frosting just make it better, cake has the frosting crutch and it gets dry too...hmmm...pie stays fesh for a dosent dry out or get all crumbley.

COME ON PIE PEOPLE VOTE!!!!!

It really depends on the type of each, but in general I'd say pie.

My thinking was imagine Thanksgiving pie up against birthday cake. But think, even though that pie would taste better with ice cream, it does taste pretty good on its own but that cake needs that frosting or else it dosent taste like much.

She probably will be hot, but not in the conventional sense.

I was forced by gunpoint to vote pie. It's in my heritage as a resident of North England.

Cake.

for one reason: cupcakes. there is no pie that can stand up to cupcakes.

i mean, when SNL raps about Magnolia Bakery Cupcakes, you KNOW its good hahahaha.

Okay, you cannot seriously count Cheesecake as a cake. Sure, it has the word cake in the name, but think about it. When you think of cake you see a soft, spongy, sweet bread-like material with frosting on top. Whereas the characteristics of a pie is a crust filled with some kind of filling often with a kind of fruit on top. What category does cheesecake seem to fit in?

You be the judge.
