did anyone else know about this?

and let's start a discussion, what's the most unsportsmanlike thing you've witnessed?

an opposing coach screaming at an umpire after a game that his team won over a call that ended up not being a factor.

A teammate I had when I was like 9, in hockey, was berrated by his dad because he scored 4 goals but "missed the net on 2 shots and should've had more." This occured while they were walking to their car in the parking lot and the dad was not quiet. Kid was crying. It was disgusting.

Also, just last week I went to watch my old high school's hockey team play in the 2nd round of the state playoffs (my bro's the assistant coach for our old high school's team, too), and they were playing our cross town rivals. My old high school lost 3-2 and the best player on the other team shot at the empty net and scored but it didn't count as time had run out and he was skating back in front of the Portage Northern's (my old high school) section of fans and blatently flipped them/us all off.

But it all worked out. They got smoked 6-1 in the next round and the kid was drilled from behind and knocked out of the game.

In my high school, our team had never scored over 100 points in school history. We were up 99-61, had all the bench players in, with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter. There's no shot clock in our state. The opponent proceeded to hold the ball for the rest of the game, not trying to score, just not letting us get 100 points. On our court. Then they shot at the buzzer and made it...I don't know why, but I was absolutely livid at that.

Nah, because that would have been unsportsmanlike on our part. Lame.

it was pretty funny, we were playing a team that had robbie ftorek's (ex devils head coach) kid on it, so they were obv from a rich town. anyway they called our best player (and biggest psychopath) white trash, he spit in two of their faces, and then the brawl ensued. the parents were even going at it. priceless stuff.

That's nuts. When my brother was in high school they got in a brawl during the handshake after stomping on our crosstown rivals. One of the kids spit in the face of one of my bro's teammates. The kid who was spat on was standing in front of the team enforcer and he clocked the kid in the cage of his helmet without his glove on, then everyone jumped on in a big ass pile.

I had a bench clearing brawl in a ball hockey game last year. A guy on my team got checked from behind into the wall and my team just attacked the guy who hit him so a bunch of their guys on the sidelines started punching us..so our guys from the bench jumped in and there was basically 10 guys aside throwing punches at each other. THe 15 year old refs didnt know what the hell to do. The game was called off unfortunately.

my volleyball coach threw a chair across the court after a very questionable call that ended up being a huge deciding factor in the outcome of the game. the next time we played them, when we did warm up serves in the beginning, a couple of us served the ball into the opposition's bench on purpose. one of us knocked over their water jug, delaying the game for about 10 minutes while they cleaned it up.

whenever we played our neighboring towns in soccer, the game was always a lot more aggressive and a hell of a lot more trashtalk. there was one game against this town that had a tuberculosis breakout or something. the game was at that town. five of us got off the bus with surgical masks on. during the game, they commented on how our town sucks at driving (the past summer, 2 kids died in seperate car accidents, a month apart). we knew the 2 kids and it almost ended up in a post-game brawl but the coaches warned us that if anything went down, we'd have to run back to our school. so instead, before the handshake line, i wiped my ballsweat with my hand and shook their hands.
