All opinion. Post what five records are the best of the last 50 years.

1. Beatles - Abbey Road
2. Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
3. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin I
4. Radiohead - Ok Computer
5. Nirvana - Nevermind

um well thats kinda hard... i dont think i could really narrow it down like that. sooo good luck whoever else feels like trying it.

It's really not that hard. Just pick five albums that you think are the best. They don't have to be Zeppelin or Hendrix, just ones you think are the best.

Hmmmm... No.

Beatles- Abbey Road
Led Zeppelin- Led Zeppelin (self-titled, Led Zeppelin II and III were good too)
The Who- Who's Next
Crosby Stills and Nash- Crosby Stills and Nash
Queen- A Night at the Opera (this one is opinion)

Recently, I'd say Sublime's self titled album, Nirvana's album "Nevermind", Radiohead's "OK Computer" and the early stuff from Metallica were good too...

Sometimes I wonder how any threads that aren't about my hotness persist on this board.

Although Devin is, in fact the epitome of all that is hot and sexy, AND yes, hip-hop is still groovy....NO...Its ridiculous because its near impossible to name just a top 5 list from the past 50 years of music...Do you have ANY conception of the MASS QUANTITIES of genres that have been introduced in the last 50 years?? Now...a top 100 list...maybe, but who will sit here and do that? Its just my opinion, and hey, Ill even throw in a few....

you made two mistakes there. Hello nasty rules and you accidently put linkin park - hybrid theory.

no problem though, you can just edit it whenever.

everyone makes mistakes.

Thanks for that, really, but I'd like to keep MY list the way I made it.

I like the ones who are naming Coheed and Brand New...

Let me add some bands which deserve mention...

Led Zeppelin
Queen
Def Leppard
Jimi Hendrix
Bob Marley
The Grateful Dead
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Elvis
Michael Jackson
Madonna
Frank Sinatra
Dean Martin
Tony Bennett
Deftones
Metallica
Nirvana
Sublime
Chicago
Carlos Santana
The Who
Willie Nelson
Three Dog Night
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young

The list goes on, all of these artists had a large influence on music and are deserving of some consideration. I like Brand New and I like Coheed but neither of them have changed the scene...

im not sure its possible. i havent been alive 50 years to know. you could go by the impact they had on their time period which would put the beatles zeppelin and hendrix at the top. or you could go by what you have listened to which would consist of many newer bands. its too hard. but mine.

jimi hendrix
nirvana
led zeppelin
the beatles (john lennon said he was like god, man i love that guy. also said if they wrote a song about daugthers (hate that word) killing their mothers that a majority would go out and do it.)
michael jackson (when he was black)
and metallica
