Click here (http://www.iscapedevice.com/) to check out the website for the iScape (the device that is using Aaron from The Almost (http://www.myspace.com/thealmost) in its promotional items).

this is ridiculous...please call him Aaron from Underoath, not The Almost, a band that has sold zero records so far, this HAS to have some sort of tie-in with Virgin.

agreed. I'm getting kind of annoyed that he's now "Aaron from The Almost".
if Jesse Lacey started some new band he wouldn't be known as "Jesse Lacey from _____"
he'd be "Jesse Lacey from Brand New". same concept.

maybe its a promotional thing that ties in with the almosts' new cd. cause i dont really think its real. looks really fake.

It's obviously not real. On the website it says this company has also just invented a "cochlear implant cellphone".

It's a great marketing ploy though.

ahahaha what the fuck is this? This has to be bullshit. Read the press release:

"But enough about the world, what about you? Do you feel like, “Everywhere I go,
there I am.” Do you think to yourself, “No matter how fast I run, my shadow is
chasing me.” You might be able to iScape your surroundings, but what about
your identity? Isn’t that what’s gotten you down? The Scape Button allows for full
bodily transcendence and transmigration of ego and superego. Try your hand at
being a vagabond in Eastern Morrocco, a sexually loose escort in Central New
Jersey, or a capitalist in Malaysia."

what about Mark Hoppus,
he is listed now as Mark from Plus 44 in magazines, not Blink 182.

Personally i think they're both correct and obviously it is in the new project's best interest to get their name out there... its not that big of a deal.

and this is so obviously viral marketing for the almost... anyone who doesn't see that has to be a moron.

Blink 182 is no longer a band, and Plus 44 has sold hundreds of thousands of records. There's a difference.

And this product is definitely fake. Kind of funny marketing ploy though, I guess.

"iScape introduces the Juggle Interface. When you juggle 3 iScapes, a wormhole
to an alternate dimension opens. In this dimension, everything you know and
experience is the same as it was before – although now everything is made from
forms of pork and you are a champion sumo wrestler. Yum!"

This is the stupidest marketing campaign I have ever seen. The press release says that the thing actually changes your surroundings. Wouldn't you want to make the product seem, oh I don't know, possible in order to generate interest? Silly me, I thought that music could sell itself. I hope this isn't the start of a new trend.

The song on there wasn't too bad. It did kind of remind me of Taking Back Sunday's newer stuff. Which means it would get old fast.

Is Aaron not in a band called The Almost?

and since everyone knows him as AARON from 'UO', due to the promotion for his new album (southern weather - virgin), lets just call him AARON from THE ALMOST, end of story.
