Evanescence is an awesome band out and i think that people should give them a shot although they rose to fame so quickly. Their songs seem to get a lot of popularity but if you listen to them closely they have lots of angry and depressed lyrics. They have a really good sound to them plus a girl who can sing is a definite plus in my book. I think that everyone should check them out and their CD because it is definately something of good quality and worth your money.

when i first listened to them I thought it was linkin park when they hadn't hit puberty yet which would explain the high voice. yep. :(

Evanescence has one track that I like...and its a piano solo with just the vocals of the lead singer...Amy, I believe her name is...Other than that...They blow donkey dick as a rock band...Thank You...:D

Which one?? They have 2 off the album out....The one I mentioned hasent been released on air...I think its number 4...No band, just piano...Its a good get stoned song...and its sweet lyrics....Other than that...Donkey Dick they be-a-suckin....

I know!!! 311 has probably the best get stoned music....I like Sade, too...I know, I know, but I got stoned last night and listened to "By Your Side" by Sade, and I damn near raped myself...It was pure bliss....

I saw them with the Juliana Theory and they really were pretty good. Their new song is good I enjoy it.

You're kidding right? Tori amos, cute redhead, plays piano, and is way too feminist for her own good. She's been around a good 10 years now. That evanescence song, 'my immortal' sounds exactly like a tori amos song. It's probally the only evanescence song that i like too.

What i think personally of evanescence like i said they are a good band but they got fame way too quickly but she has a really good voice in my opinion and if you hear the rest of the album it's pretty good. The only problem i do have w/ the CD is the fact that it all sounds very similar. Plus they're not trying to sell out by being something they aren't. They are just being themselves and the lyrics are good too if you listen to them.

the only reason evanescence is "known" is because of the lead singer from 12 stones. they are probably one of the worst bands i have ever heard.

They have been around actually longer then the guy from 12 stones has sung a song on their album...they have another album out from before but it's really hard to get your hands on it. And the guy from 12 stones has nothing to do w/ the band he just sang/ rapped whatever you want to call what he did to promote their band because the label asked evanescence to do a song w/ them. I think it's good to keep your mind open about bands and listen to a variety of stuff.

i never said girls voices suck. they just annoy the hell outta me. kittie is a good example of a girl band i like. i dont find their singers voice annoying.

kittie's voice doesn't sound like a girls voice though.they've done too many drugs that their voices are lowered a lot...i mean i guess i can see why you don't like girl's voices because there is a huge difference between guys and girl's voices. but it is your choice to like what you like obviously.
