Actually, I have a very similar set up...Oregon instead of Wisco...KU over G-town 68-61
Georgetown is my ideal match up for the final game...their height hurts them when they match to KU's speed.
Plus, if someone can knock UCLA off, KU's road is really not that hard...I'm banking on Pitt doing it.

Oregon is the only team in the tourney that can out-Notre Dame Notre Dame...they literally shoot 24 3 pters a game...and they shoot them well...and their guard play is much faster and better.
That's like telling me that BC could beat G-town, despite being essentially carbon copies of each other, with G-town having an additional 7'0" advantage.

woah, what?

im sucking as my position of the #1 homer in this forum.
Texas main problem is they don't have depth. Compared to the best teams in the nation.
There's a reason why they blow teams out in the first half then lose by 4 in the second. They get tired. I think ulitmately that will be their demise in the tourney. But i hope to god im wrong.

The only thing is that all of your picks are safe...there are basically no upsets...and I think Butler would beat ODU btw.
But, take a chance here and there...you have basically the same bracket everyone else will hand in...so you are relying solely on the matter of maybe 1 team from the 1st or 2nd round being an upset deciding it all.
For example, have a lower team making a run (Texas over UNC maybe, etc), look for matchups where you think a team could upset, and take that chance. Also, a good way to look at it is, for example, if you think that A&M is going to go to the Elite Eight regardless, why not take a chance that Nevada upsets Memphis, or that Creighton upsets Nevada...because all it will do is cost you small points, but it can also gain you small points that most people won't have. As long as you pikc 7 of the 8 Elite 8 teams, you'll probably win your pool...so, figure out those in your mind, and then take chances in earlier rounds to pick up decisive points
Understand that money makes people scared to take chances...so if you take some calculated risks, you can gain a huge edge and not hurt yourself if it fails.

The only thing people seem to mistake is that they think ND can beat Oregon...which to me, is not possible...they are basically the same team (average 22 and 25 3-pters a game respectively), except Oregon has a deeper and faster team...which serves them better. If you have OU losing before ND, good, otherwise, think about reconsidering that one...

Depending on the bracket...
I have every 11-6 upset (always VCU over Duke, usually ND over Winthrip, only once GW over Vandy, always Stanford over louisville)...
Albany over UVA,
Ga Tech over UNLV,
no 12-5 upsets,
USC over UNC in the Sweet 16 (pipe dream),
Nevada over Memphis (for fun)
I've considered Tenn upsetting OSU, and Butler over UF...but, haven;t really pulled the trigger yet

I'm stoked that I got that game right. Jerel McNeal not playing definitely was in our favor, for sure. Stoked for MSU who'd gone out in the first round like 4 of the last 6 years or something. If Morgan and a 3rd guy can give them some consistent scoring they can be dangerous. Especially since Neitzel is the type of shooter who can take over a game. A sweet 16 birth is not out of the question.
and seeing Idong Ibok's elbow dislocate and then just showing that messed up elbow was disgusting. And why broadcasts feel the need to show an injury that's brutal to watch over and over and over again is beyond me. I think it's gross and they should show it once or twice and quit showing it.
not to be that guy...but...I did just call that VCU upset like 4 times in this thread...
It would take extreme circumstances for me to not pick Duke to get out of the first round. Either way, I had them getting out of round 1 then losing anyways.
