thats because not many girls can pull off the whole punk/ hardcore thing because girls voices do not sound good while they scream. I know one band w/ girl singers they aren't the best but they are somewhat punk. The band called The Eyeliners. It's allright but girls definately don't go too into the whole rock thing because not too many people are supporters of chick bands. Some girls can pull it off although most can't.

i agree with you in the sense that if a girl can't scream she shouldn't be screaming in the first place and it just sounds horrible if you can't scream. but whats wrong w/ girl bands that don't scream but are still rock oriented?

the highpitched voices. it reminds me of a poppy girl band and not a girl rock band.

Not hardcore but the Crissie Verhagen from Element 101 is really good... She's got the sexiest voice ever, I fell in love with her voice when I heard "20 Years in the Making" haha

There are definately a lot of girl bands out there just they aren't that well known. You have to go looking for some if you want to. There is another girl punk band thats somewhat known called the devotchkas. they are an all girl band and they have an okay girl sound kind of like the distillers. So if you like straight out punk give the devotchkas a listen. And tsunami bomb and well as distillers are allright girl punk bands.

haha, give the kid a break. although i agree (chris, what the hell are you thinking saying distillers and tsunami bomb suck....that's pure insanity..), he's a good lyricist, and i've pretty much adopted him as my little onlinebrother, so naturally i feel the sisterly urge to stick up for the little man. but chris....we need to work on your taste in music a bit.

the lunachicks, the red aunts and dirty mary are (were for the red aunts) great, but the distillers really do suck.

I am with you on this, I think we should get more girls out there singing. They might think us guys dont like girls who sing, I mean I like it. I think its cool when I girl can pull off a hardcore song, we have a local girl who does so and she is kick ass. I encourage all girls to get out there and try at least

i'm a girl singer. and i too am 'kick ass'. my problem: every kid wanting to start a band here lists their inspiration as mest, simple plan, the starting line, and the ataris. thus, i am bandless. damn.

ok the reason i said that the distillers and tsunami bomb is because i hate the sound of a girl singing (no offense to any girls) i just hate it. maybe thats why i dont like much tbs anymore. man that guy has a high-pitched voice.
