Before we left for this last Japanese tour in October, Tim got the news that he was going to become a father. We had the whole 3 months in Japan to discuss what would become of Allister, and in the end Tim made the responsible decision to start a job that wouldn’t take him out of the country for months at a time. He wanted to be home with his girlfriend during the pregnancy, and throughout the upbringing of their child. We had already confirmed a Japanese tour for March, and since Tim has already entered the work force, we have asked his brother Chris to join us overseas. We will be booking a show in Chicago, which for all intents and purposes will be billed as our last show. I’ll post the info when it comes.
That being said, Kyle and I have started a new band called “The Get Go.” We have banned together with our good friends Nick (x-Mest), Dan (x-Homegrown), and Chris (x-Showoff). We’re really excited about the songs we’ve been writing, and we’ll be recording/posting demos in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can check us out at:

Allister has been trucking along for a good 10 years now, and in that time we’ve been fortunate enough to travel around the world playing music that we love. We’ve met so many amazing people, and I feel really fortunate to have been a part of this band… Before I get too sappy, I just want to say thanks to everyone who supported us over the years. Who knows what the future will hold, but for the time being this is just the beginning of a new chapter…

They never quite got the credit they deserved because they were surrounded by so many other bands in DTR's prime, which is sad because they've made great pop music for years and years now.

they never quite got to headlining status, but they opened for all the bands we know and love.

true that! at the time new found glory, fenix tx, SoCo, & the movielife were everywhere! allister is still one of the best bands to come out of chicago, i like them better then fob or tai anyday!
Final show announced....July 20th at the metro!

well, at least he is settling down and going into a new phase of his life; adulthood, where now he has to take on new responsibilities

such a bummer they are breaking up. their music was always fun to listen to.
I never really got into them all that much, but they weren't bad.

"I know you're worth the wait
and I cant explain what Im going through inside
But I would turn away the world
just to have her here with me tonight"
Last Stop Suburbia is one of my favorite pop-punk albums of all time.
Walk Home
Drowning these memories in the rain
biting my lip to transfer this pain
youre gone, and im still going thru withdrawal
next time around ill build a stronger wall
last time i saw them, they gave me a shoutout on stage and then dragged me up there to help them sing this one.

I've lost track of how many times I saw these guys growing up. Always fun. I'll miss them in a nostalgic way.

Ahh... my username will fade away into nothingness. I had no clue they were breaking up.
Another night without a sound
Another meal at Taco Bell
Another story I can tell
I'm forced awake again
In time to take the stage
And as my dream world fades
Another day takes place
I look into the crowd
And see myself through stares
Back when I hoped someday
I'd be the one up there!!
Great pop-punk. And I'm one of the biggest suckers for pop-punk there is, hence why I made them my username so long ago. But now I'd be AllisterMan ;-) hahahahaha
