Ok I am going to Warped on Saturday, but I'm going without permission.. So my plan was to tell my mom I'm going to Wonderland(this big theme park) with some friends. But her and I were watching the news tonight, and the forecast for Saturday is rain and a thunderstorm. Now I need a new excuse about where I'm going and I have NO idea what to tell my mom. My friends want to leave at 9am so I don't know where the hell I'm supposed to say I'm going that early. I can't bail on my friends because they already bought me a ticket and are coming down from Ottawa just to take me :-/ Any ideas....anyone? GAH I'm desperate!

1) How old are you?
2) Why can't you just let your mom know where you are going? Was it forbidden for you to go or something?
I don't know what you should tell your mom, I don't think that she will be too happy when she finds out that you lied to her. And she will find out, trust me.

1. I'm 16
2. I can't let my mom know I'm going because she thinks Warped is dangerous and to far away(it's 2 hours away from me) therefore I can't go
She probally won't find out because she's supposed to go away that day but who knows..

just keep telling your mom that you are going to the theme park and if she mentions the weather say you just really really want to eat a funnel cake and dont care if it rains or not.
just tell your mom that if it rains on sat, that you and your friends have a change of plans, tell her theyre picking you up at 9:00am to go eat breakfast, and from theyre you guys are going somewhere(make up a place very far that she will allow you to go. like the mountians ect...) when it comes close to the end of the concert,NOTE:(dont wait to long to call), remember to call your mom, and tell her you hit traffic, and you guys are stopping somewhere close near your house to grap a bite to eat. tell her if she would like something, to kind of distract her and catch her off guard. or you can tell her that youring going to crash at your friends house. (just grow balls and tell her the truth, so you wont be worried about it.)

funnel cakes are good. with strawberries and powdered sugar... but at six flags they are so expensive.

once i had to wait in line for like 30 minutes too cuz something happened i dont remember. so they gave me my funnel cake for free. funnel cakes are good but they are even tastier when they dont cost you anything.

tell her you're going to chill with your friends somewhere for the day. and if you come home late say you lost track of time... your punishment may not be too severe.... blah blah blah...

whats the worst that could happen if you just dont call home all day? you get grounded for a few weeks??? if you spend your time wisely at warped (aka not wasting your time watching simple plan) itll be totally worth it. just dont tell your mom where you really were. and buy a funnel cake itll make you feel better.....

I can see why you might be stressed out about it a bit more. I'd still say you should just blag it, say your going shopping then come back late and say you went somewhere afterwards and your phone was broke etc etc.

Yah man I just might do that. But she'll just have a hard time believing I am going shopping at 9 in the morning haha. I just read that there isn't supposed to be a thunderstorm on Saturday, and it's just scattered showers. YUSS.

i dont think they sell funnel cakes at warped... at least not at some of the dates.... they should though. someone needs to start a petition to kevin lyman about the funnel cake issue.....

Ok your obviously not a good liar..if you were you would have planned ahead far in advance. What you should have done was never mention the word "Warped tour" or "concert" in her presence at all. That way she would have no reason to ever possibly suspect that.
You have a good chance at getting caught now but this is a risk you need to take. The amusement park was a bad idea you should have selected a place that would be fitting rain or shine. Tell her there's a movie marathon playing somewhere (Make up your own theme of movies...this could work because the marathon would be all day long and she wouldnt be able to get in touch with you because you are in the theater.)
