the March Of the Lamplighters (Great Lakes pt. I)

Cobblestone streets stretch out beneath me
With the light of these lamps spilling slanted shadows
I've found your face in each one of them
Wish I could somehow find my own somewhere out there
Time creeps into my scars like salt
Fill these pages with my wayward confession

[Chorus]
Oceans flood our lungs, and rain clouds roll into our hearts
I swore this sort of thing would never happen
Oceans flood our eyes, and rain clouds engulf our heads
Fill your dreams with me

Let's retreat to the backseat, let's turn the radio on
Soon enough, we'll get some answers
I've lost myself in each lingering note and in each chord
Wish you could somehow see deep into my heart
Time sleeps sound inside our scars
We'll scrawl these letters across each faded page

[Chorus]
Oceans flood our lungs, and rain clouds roll into our hearts
You swore this sort of thing was bound to happen
Oceans flood our eyes, and rain clouds hang over our heads
Fill me with your dreams

...And I'll fill you up with mine
Let's erase the face of the clock, let's reclaim our lost time

Thanks, Josiah. I really appreciate it. Tariq said the same thing in a different post of mine, so it's really cool to get that kind of feedback. thanks again.
