Although these movies definatley don't appeal to everyone, and most of my friends who have seen them don't get them at all (probably because they find shit like Grandma's Boy and Date Movie funny), still, there's definatley a ton of people out there who love these movies. So...what're yours?
For me, it'd be
This Is Spinal Tap>A Mighty Wind>Best In Show>Waiting for Guffman>For Your Consideration

Did he direct that one? I know he was in it, and it was a pretty cool movie, but what I'm talking about here is the movies he's directed, his "mockumentaries" so to speak haha. So I wouldn't really count that one.

Oh then sorry. I think that someone else directed that one! The Princess Bride was just an awesome movie and Christopehr Guest did a great job acting in that one then.

Haha its cool. I was just referring to movies that feature that usual cast of actors (Eugene Levy, Fred Willard, Parker Posey, Catherine O'Hara, etc.)

Parker Posey is the ultimate independant movie actress and I guess I have never seen any of the above mentioned movies, so I really cannot comment on the validity of your first comment.

yeah, I've heard alot about the other indie films she's been in. Haven't seen em, but I might sometime. Anyway, I highly reccomend these movies. Well, For Your Consideration was alright, funny, but nowhere near as good as the others

if we're going with movies he's directed only, then spinal tap can't be on there either. that being said:
best in show > a mighty wind > waiting for guffman > for your consideration
spinal tap is #1, however, if its included.

Rob Reiner directed This Is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride.
And I don't care who directed Spinal Tap, it wins hands down.

Fred Willard deserved an Oscar nomination for his performance in Best in Show. Fucking HILARIOUS.

Hahaha oh my God, fuck yes! "And to think that in some countries these dogs are eaten!"Then he's talking to the other announcer about making a calander of girls washing their dogs, and him talking to the Mayflower Kennel Club president making historically incorrect statements. hahaha

Out of these I have only seen This Is Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, and a good portion of Best In Show, all of which are hilarious. I really need to sit down and watch Best In Show in its entirety. It is/was always on Comedy Central and I would always end up missing pieces of it.
Princess Bride is also excellent.

Yes, they're all incredibly funny. Best In Show is great, you really should watch it in its entirety sometime. So many good lines in that movie haha. Plus, it'll ruin all televised dog shows for you haha. As in, any time you see one of them on TV, it'll be next to impossible to not think of Best In Show haha. Or what it would be like if Fred Willard's character was commentating haha
