Here's mine:

Winter break, 7th grade, I think it was 1998?

I'm playing hockey, cuz thats what I do.
I hit this little kid and I was getting a penalty for the check, I think boarding or something, cuz the kid was tiny. I touch the puck and the whistle blows and the ref starts talking to me, so this is obviously after the whistle.
I'm standing about 5 ft from the boards, maybe a little more, and i turn around, and this kid runs me just as I catch sight of him, so I'm way offguard.
I go flying headfirst, backwards (make sense?) into the boards and I hit the ledge where the glass meets the boards. All the pressure from the collision shoots straight down my back and I am knocked out cold, too.
I wake up... ooo I guess it was 20 minutes later, I don't really know, thats what I remember hearing later, with 2 paramedics, the trainer, my uncle (my coach) and my mom standing over me. I'm already on a stretcher, still in all my hockey shit, with a neckbrace on. They tell me to try and wiggle my toes or feet or something, and I cant. They ask the same of my fingers. I cant.
So its off to the ER. I get tehre and still cant move, get shipped around to the x-ray room, get x-rays of my neck. There's nothing wrong, apparently, so they just.. tell me to lay there.

Fucking 6 hours later I start to move again. I can move my arms a little, but its kind of painful. I spent the whole night there and eventually I could move, but it was terrible. I have never "felt" a worse "feeling" than not being able to feel anything. Its terrible and scary as fuck.

I still have back pain all the time. Not fun.

when i was in fourth grade...i went in the murky pond thing...and i cut up my foot pretty bad...needed like 50 something stitches...and who ever invented the phrase "chicks dig scars" is a fucking idiot.

hmm..... im an idiot sometimes but i think that i have a top three here:

I have hurt myself twoice playing kickball. twice. and not skinned knees. the first time was in second grade, we were playing in the gym which had hard wood floors and i was pitching and a 5th grader kicked it and i dove for it, caught it and heard my arm crack. my mom didnt believe that i had actually hurt myself so i sat at school for a couple hours and then she didnt take me to the hospital until i had been home for a couple hours and she looked at my arm and it was bending the wrong way. then in 5th grade i was playing first base and the ball hit my pinky and dislocated it so it was turned all the way around. my last stupid story was when i was about 10. I went down the toboggan run (complete with two sets of moguls) on a saucer. a saucer for those of you who dont know is a glorified coaster (like for drinks) made out of plastic. on the second mogul of the second set of moguls i shoot off the run into the air and land aout 20 feet away from the run. i couldnt move for about 6 hours, not fun. so what do i do the next year? the toboggan run on a saucer. why? because the idiot overruled the savant

The thing that pisses me off is that this kid will probably brag to everyone he meets that he almost paralyzed someone during a hockey game and he was taken out on a stretcher. This pussy probably thinks he's a badass now.

when i was in kindergarten i fell off a see-saw and landed on another as it was coming up and it nocked one of my front teeth out.

then a couple of weeks ago i was trying to turn left and i was in the turning lane and i had the green light but not the arrow and i went and a car came up over a hill and hit me head on going about 50 and my head went through the windshield, since i had a '66 mustang i didnt have airbags, and totaled my car and everything. that was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

about a month ago my friend got ran over by a forklift that hit his ankle and busted it. funny stuff.=/

I get hurt a lot and stuff. No broken bones or anything but the latest injury story was from earlier when I went to the gym to work out for the first time earlier. I was laying down lifting 30 pound weights on each hand (hey i'm a beginner!) and I was almost done so I use all my strength in my left to lift it up again so I got it up only to fall down and hit me in the yeah..there..the nuts.

i was in 7th grade so i was maybe like 12 at the time. i was riding my bike to soccer practice and i somehow managed to ride off the sidewalk.... after the sidewalk was like a foot drop. so i went headfirst off my bike and landed on my face. i ened up tearing a ligament in my knee. and becuase the idiot doctors at the hospital couldnt read an xray (stupid yale doctors) they told me i broke myknee and i had a full leg cast for a week and a half before they figured out thy fucked up. by then it was too late to do any surgery to fix the problem so nothing healed right and i have major problems now.

all becuase i cant ride a bike.

i have 2, but one of them didn't happen to me. it's just funny.

when i was about 6 or 7 i found my little brother climbing on this hutch that wasn't attached to the wall, so i climbed on it too to try and save him. idiot. the thing fell forward on both of us. i remember my dad came in and started screaming at me until he saw blood trickling down my neck and he started crying. we went to the hospital and i had broken my head. i had to get a bunch of stitches. my loser brother had a swollen hand. that's it. and i tried to save him. fucker.

this is the funny one. when i was in 7th grade we were playing softball and my coach went up to bat. when he swung he caught his foot in a hole or something and broke his leg. he started crying and cursing in spanish and yelling for his mother. then my friend, who is REALLY competitive, grabbed the ball and ran to my crying coach, hit him with the ball, and said "you're out." it was the funniest fucking thing i had ever seen. aaaahhh, good times.

One time i gonna hit by a Dodge Ram going 15 mph while riding. I just sprank my ankle for a week and tore up my knee. For some reason my moms insurance had to pay for it cause I technicaly hit them.

One time I pinched a wall and broke half my hand. Another time I broke my wrist doing the same.

I chipped half of my two front teeth when i ran of a waterhose while skating.

Another my hampster bit my pinky and it bled all day.

Shit! Fuck! Damn!,

I get injured alot and that sucks for me.

- I've had a horse fall while I was on it, and it landed on me and I fucked up my shoulder

- In September I got ran over by a horse, and he stepped on my lower back, my inner thigh and kicked my head. I now have bad back problems

- About 4 years ago I was walking down the stairs, and I stepped down on the last step and bone in my foot snapped right in half

- I was dismounting a horse, and I landed the wrong way on my ankle and broke it

- I got my finger closed in a steel door

- I got my head kicked open at a concert

- I fell down the stairs and tore something in my knee. Then the next week me knee gets smashed with a fucking steel pole and now I am crippled.

I've probally had more I don't really remember

Starting with the least severe:

I have a permanent painful cracking noise in my left thumb. I was running ladder sprints during football and my thumb was bent at the top joint part while I was running, and my hand hit a kid going the other way's thigh pad, jamming the joint and fucking it forever. Now when I bend it multiple times, it cracks and I scream.

Playing basketball in gym class, i went for a rebound with my right hand turned upside down like i was carrying say, a plate on it. As my hand got about...2 inches under the ball, someone else's half-assed shot from like half-court bounced off the backboard, and hit the ball i was going after and obviously ricocheted my ball directly into my thumb with much force. The impact of my thumb getting slammed down broke my hand where it meets with the thumb, from the joint and about 2 inches down the palm. I couldn't do most upper body lifting exercises for 5 or 6 weeks.

The least painful injury I have ever had was a broken right index finger in middle October 2001, my last football game in 8th grade. It was a night game, about 35 degrees, with sleet. In the 4th quarter, my arms were so numb i didn't have much control of them and i got my fingers caught between my and the other kid's facemask about 5 times. the game ended at 7, and at about 830, after a shower and a soak in warm water, i could finally feel my hands again and felt quite a bit of pain and noticed some weird shaping to said right index finger. I broke it.

Same finger, about 3 weeks later, the finger was loosely set(my mom, a nurse, tried to do it) and was in a splint. Before I went out with my g/f on Halloween, and while i was home, i took the splint off to take a shower. when i came back downstairs, me and my little brother(who for a 9 or 10 year old at that time, was damn smart to do this), started fighting. He grabbed my finger, and snapped it to the right, unsetting it, and causing the worst pain i've ever felt. EVER. I just placed the splint back on it and went out that night. He's still a little bastard.

I've also dislocated like 3 fingers punching walls.and for my stupid story, when i was 2, i fell going into a park bathroom, and put a rusty nail thru my upper lip. I got 5 stitches - 3 outside, 2 inside. I still have a nail head shaped scar.

i get little injuries a lot, like tons of pulls a year but nothing big. but lets see. well, one time i was playing soccer with a couple friends and my one friend , in trying to get the ball from me, trips me and i sprained my wrist... i never let her forget that. then one time, i was riding my favorite horse who i heard later they used to give drugs and the stopped, and so he went wild and threw me and i sort of did a half flip in the air (this other person in the class was later like, i know i shouldnt say this but it looked sooo cool while you were in the air) landed on my head and got a mild concussion... that blew. the next day the like teacher person tried to ride the undrugged horse and it threw HER and she sprained her wrist. they sold him. :(

I did gymnastics for a while [up untill some point last year] and one day when i was at gymnastics camp in like 5th grade, i was doing something on the bars and i remember i let go and landed right on my arm. i had a compound fracture and the bone was sticking out of my skin and i had to be put to sleep for it to be set back in place. it sucked. i dont remember any of the 2 weeks after that cause i was so messed up on codiene the whole time. i still have a scar on my arm from where the bone punctured my skin.

I got hit in the head with an aluminum bat once too, it was an accident though. A couple years ago I skated off a carport onto concrete, no broken bones but I couldn't walk for 3 days. Also both my elbows are permanently injured, seriously everyday they are bleeding. I fucked em up skating a long time ago and I always hit them on something and open them up again. So yeah, no really serious injuries for me :)

The worst thing that happened to me which wasn't very bad at all was when I was 4. I was riding on one of those toy school buses down my drive way. And I guess the kid next door had some gravel at the end of it. The next moment I was in my house on the couch lying down so I was unconcious for a couple of seconds. I got up and looked at my face. There was all sorts of scratches all over it. It was a mess. I was told that I would just deal with some scars for a couple of weeks. And then I went to my preschool a mess with people looking at me weird.

when I first learned to boardslide I was trying to boardslide this shitty little kerb, like just a thin kerb that seperates rows of car parking spaces. I managed to land on it but I had no idea the exact physics of balancing because I'd never done it before. So I must have been standing there like a donkey with perfectly straight legs, not balancing myself at all... The board slid out from under me and I flew up in the air like one of those cartoons where they slip on a banana skin. All I see is my board flying away from my, and my legs higher than my head as I'm falling. The worst part was cos it was a kerb maybe 6 inches wide, I just fell straight onto it, right in the middle of my back, with no where else to fall cos it was only about 9 inches of the ground. So I just crack off it and stop. Anyway I just lied in that position for ages, I was skating by myself at the time and I was just lying there, scared to move incase I'd properly fucked myself up. I was really lucky though cos I managed to drag myself home with just a very sore back for the next few weeks, and I cut my hands up really good when I landed as well, cos over here our concrete isn't smooth and fast, it's shitty and bumoy and grainy.

Ok this is fun...

Best story:

9th grade, I'm pitching for the JV baseball team. I'm warming up before a game on the bullpen mound down the left field line. I'm throwing my fastball, it's going alright so I change to the curveball to get a feel for how it's working for me today. The second pitch I throw I hear this snap in my elbow followed by immiediate numbness and loss of motion. What happened was to torque on my arm had caused the tendon to yank so hard on the point of instertion that it had come clear off. Basically my tendon had yanked the inside knob of my elbow clear off, it had come off along the growth place (a soft spot along the bone which allows growth. The knob was up near my bicep and it required surgery and about 6 months of rehab. I had full use of my arm by July but I still had to go to a guy to rehabilitate me ofr baseball so that I could throw and this time with proper mechanics. I still can't extend my right arm all the way straight, nor can I pitch any longer, but it did make a good story. The guy in the outfield told me they could hear it snap.

My dumb one:

As a freshman (both my injuries happened as a freshman) on the JV football team, I was still fairly small. I was about 5'9, 135. We were doing tackling drills with varsity and I got paired with a defensive tackle. I had to carry the ball and he not only crushed me but he fell on top of me. Giving me a mild concussion and neck stinger. That really sucked...

well Pat, if you want to talk stupid football injuries.

Last year, on a Thursday, our 240 pound left tackle came from behind me and hit me in the side, completely pancaking me. Then, he decided to frog-splash me while i was on the ground, resulting in a large crack in my back, and having a slightly dislocated right hip, which didn't hurt that bad until after my game that Saturday. It got worse and worse after every practice, until I went to the chiropractor on the next Thursday. By this time, my lower back and upper ass muscles were so tensed and sore from doing all the work that the dislocated joint couldn't do, that I could barely walk, and it took me 3 minutes to get into my mom's car(because it's so low to the ground). I had to go back Friday and Saturday morning(before my night game). My 2nd game of the season, I knocked it back out of place in a pre-game "grubbing" drill. And went back to the chiropractor 2 more times. I played the rest of the season with a sore back/ asscheek because the muscles never got enough time to heal. It hurt like a bitch too. Spasms and shit....aargh.

okay, this isnt my injury story, its my brothers. but i was the one who caused it, so im gonna tell it. when my brother was about a year old and we were living in a different house with a concrete basement floor, i dropped him on his head on the floor. i was about 2 and a half at the time and all about self preservation. i didnt tell anybody about it, i just kinda took him upstairs and pretended nothing had happened. my dad picked him up the next day and the back of his head felt like jelly. they took him to the hospital and then when they got home, my mom asked me what happened. not wanting to get in trouble, i told her that i "might have seen something, but that i wasnt down there" and that "maybe i was there but i really wasnt there, i was at the top of the stairs" and that my one year old brother had probably "walked down into the basement all by himself" he didnt have any serious damage, hes really smart but kind of an idiot sometimes so i dont feel *too* bad about it.

ive sprained my ankle twice missing the bottom step on a set of stairs... i sprained my other ankle another time in elementary school skipping to go play four square.... i had to get sticthes on my shin once cuz i knoced it on a playground step ya kn ow those ones that are rounded and coated in rubber? it was a freak accident that tore a chunk of skin out. neat huh?
