punk/emo bands you hate

i like drama, so i'm starting this thread. what punk and emo bands does everyone hate? here's mine:

that's just to name a few.

Pretty much any drive thru band(except for finch, they rock). I've pretty much lost interest in all pop-punk. Well, a good majority of it anyway. I must admit, i'm starting to like the new yellowcard song.

And anberlin's 'ready fuels' has been playing in my head all day today, i like it. And when i saw them live, they did a cure cover. Anybody who does a cure cover gets my respect.

i will never diss a florida band. thats why yellowcard or anberlin or anyother florida band i may hate (not to say i hate any florida band).

the only pop punk i can stand is unsung zeros and motion city soundtrack. and i am in love with brand new, but i don't consider them to be pop punk in the least, despite what everyone else tells me.


bands i particularly hate:

-mest (this band, above all others, is the number one worst thing to have ever been shot out from between pop punks ass cheeks)
-good charlotte (more for their ego than their music, although both suck my fucking dick)
-ataris
-mxpx
-relient k
-and yes, occasionally, simple plan makes me wonder if there is a type of surgery specializing in the removal of eardrums.


god there are so many more, but it would just take less time to tell you the pop punk bands i like than to list the hundreds i despise. as for emo, well i like most emo. although it isn't my favorite genre of music, i appreciate a good emo song every now and then.

steel train sucks, they are really the only band that i hate

i don't listen to a specific genre, but their are bands who's talent isn't apparent at all by listening to them....here are the top ten worst bands...not just emo or punk, in general

1.)Simple Plan (i don't see how before they even got popularity, the lead singer already had a clothing line)
2.) Good Charlotte (same reason, and the fact that Billy should be in AFI, but wait....AFI would reject him).
3.) Interpol (don't see why people like them, and they just got on my nerves quick)
4.) Godsmack (with a name like this, you just know that they are bound to be a great band....ummmm...no)
5.) Rancid (okay, this is the worst band I have ever heard in my life, EVER. I give them credit the lyrics are political, drama filled, and very well written, if they wanted to write a book, i don't want to hear you sing them.
6.) New Found Glory- I used to enjoy them when i was 12....now I just think the lyrics try to be cliche...good job
7.) Nelly- I know they are supposed to bear at least a threat to this website, but I can't even express how much I hate nelly...come take a ride with me, i would be forced to drive, and scrape his bling-blingin' face all over the asphalt at over 100 miles an hour
8.) Will Smith- How did he get a record deal... I mean really, a person who names a cd after themseves, in a punny way (willenium) deserves to ummmm...star in wild, wild west.
9.) Billy Talent- I have nothing against Billy Talent, just wished I would've heard of them, before they copped onto capital records
10.) Any band who says that they sound like saves the day as a reference, you will never be as good as saves the day, and if you are...well you won't be....ever

okay, you got most of the list right. but its not fair to say blink doesn't have talent. sure, mark and tom aren't masters at their instruments, but they write some very inspiring songs. seriously. they have their own distinct sound. you can't confuse blink for anyone else, unless you are total moron.

yea its true, blink sounds different from a lot of pop punk bands. And they were the ones to really start the more vanilla pop punk style if ya know what im saying. Like the ramones are arguably the very first pop punk band ever....then like green day broke out in 94 but they werent exactly the type of guys girls were obsessed with, and they werent and still arent TOOOOOOOO poppy in their music.

The media didn't make up the term emo. Some crazed fan of the music did. All the media did was fuck emo up by slapping it onto bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Weezer, The Get Up Kids, and Dashboard Confessional.
