Would you compare green day to simple plan?

ok, so heres the deal. I was talking to my friend the other day, and she was talking about green day and said that they are just like simple plan, and I was like, well thats your opinion and all. what are all of your opinions?

I dislike Green Day a lot, but even i admit, that Simple Plan are way more fake, and marketed. Green Day did a lot of hard work, played some straight forward pop punk, then kinda saw that if they marketed themselves with eyeliner, black-shirt-red-tie, "teen angst anthems" bullshit, they'd get even bigger. A smart (but in my opinion so fucking wrong, and against everything music should stand for) decision for them after the semi-flop of Warning. Still a bunch of (old) douches posing as a (young) "punk" band, and imaging themselves as "bad boys". Can't stand them.

Simple Plan were always a boy-band-with-instruments that major labels have mass-marketed to impressionable kids as a pop-punk band.

So both are fake, gimmick, marketed bands, but Simple Plan are worse because they don't have the legit past that Green Day have.

Some of what i said is my opinion. Some of what i said is truth. I never once stated otherwise. How Green Day faked it up by doing the same bullshit things that the kids eat up these days (black-shirt-red-tie, eyeliner, etc). That is truth, because they are fucking doing it.
