I voted for Eko, as he was my favorite character.

But what's really silly about the way that Adewale (the actor who plays Eko) left the show is that he asked to leave: the producers never had any intention or desire to kill him off! Infact, (as Damon Linedlof and Carlton Cuse revealed on the Official Lost Podcast) Adewale had originally signed on for only one season and wanted to be killed off in Season 2 but agreed to stay on for part of Season 3. Essentially, if any blame falls to someone over the death of Mr. Eko, the blame sadly falls to the actor who plays Eko, and not "the powers that be" who run LOST

This is my favorite show though, so glad someone put up this poll

Main characters? Seems to me the whole point of this poll and the show in general is that it is a large ensemble cast: hence, there is no main character!

Sorry for not elaborating.

I'm refering to Kate and Jack which are clearly the main characters in at least the first two seasons. They do not engage me emotionally in the slightest and seem to be portraying a completely different individual from one episode to the next, which can be partially blamed on the writers. But I do enjoy Sayide, Charlie, Claire, and Sawyer (also the overweight character who's name eludes me at the moment) as characters because they have and interesting back story that these actors do a fine job of reflecting thier characters past experiences into a believeable persona. I do admit that Jack and Kate (Sorry I don't know the actors names off the top of my head) have done a much better job this season than in previous episodes.

If you want me to elaborate more I'll be more than happy to oblige, also its kinda late so if anything is unclear don't be afraid to call me out on it.

Thought I'd bump this. My favorite characters, are the ones that remain a bit more mysterious. There has been a serious lack of John Locke and Ben, outside of a few key episodes. And I assume, as of The Variable, that some of the "hostiles"/Others will become more featured. I'm really excited to eventually get some Richard backstory, he remains one of the most mysteriously bad ass characters.

I voted Charlie, because his death was the final straw that made me quit watching and I always had a soft spot for him. But Ana Lucia and Hurley were always favorites of mine too. And Sawyer definitely had his moments.
