(Before I am barraged with 'search function' questions, the band does not yet have an official thread, and the only other threads about them were ignorant bashing and distribution of leaks)
That said, I am really liking the new record so far (much to my surprise.) Anyone else care to share their sentiments on the OTHER M.M. (not mickey mouse), past and present?

good stuff- that story on the front page about isaac brock kind of freaked me out a little though

All albums are quality. Lonesome Crowded West is my favourite, the new one was a return to form in my opinion.
Indeed. As soon as the awkward-ass vocals kicked in over the off-kilter music on 'March Into the Sea', I was OVERJOYED

In my opinion, Modest Mouse is one of the best bands around today. The Moon and Antarctica is my personal favorite by them.
The new album is solid, especially "Missed The Boat."
wait, is the new album out?

I have actually loved every album by these guys, and I had a teacher who was in the band who got kicked out before 'Good news for people who like bad news'.
Great work by them, great work. One of the few mainstream scene kid bands out there that I can't bash.

they are incapable of making bad music! you have to at least like all of their albums
thats a threat btw, lol

So many people left the thread shaking in their boots from that. Good work, private.

Him cutting his chest on stage is pretty crazy!

I had finally found a copy of the one EP I didn't have on this computer last night.
...then my computer died, and I lost everything.

They've been my favorite band for about 7 years now, I collect all their ep's and whatnot, I can't wait for the new one to come out, supposedly it has b-sides from both We Were Dead and Good News. Holy jesus...

it would be amazing. king rat is awesome and their b-sides are always very good. 'building nothing out of something' is kickass and so is 'everywhere and his nasty parlour tricks'

Modest Mouse is one of my favorite bands ever, the Lonesome Crowded West recently became my favorite album, it was The Moon and Antarctica for a really long time. But I like more off of Lonesome Crowded West (Shit Luck, Trailer Trash, Long Distance Drunk, Jesus Christ Was an Only Child etc.). Trailer Trash is my favorite song.
The new album is okay. I would've liked to hear more Marr on it but hes always sort of melded to the band he was with I suppose.
