Police, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys To Headline Festival

Virgin Festival, which takes place in Baltimore, MD, has announced this year's headliners: The Police (www.thepolice.com), Smashing Pumpkins (www.myspace.com/smashingpumpkins) and Beastie Boys (www.myspace.com/beastieboys). This event will take place on August 4th and 5th.

Pearl Jam will headline the whole festival and is confirmed (http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/music/poprock/278176,CST-FTR-lolla01.article). Daft Punk are confirmed, they may play one of the main stages but I very highly doubt they would headline a night.

The line-up will be announced on April 12th.

I'll be there. Rumor has it one of the announced V-Fest headliners (Smashing Pumpkins, The Police, or Beastie Boys) are going to be on Lolla too. But I've heard reports that Smashing Pumpkins will NOT be the one.

first off...what's up codered...I graduated from JMU last may and just recently moved to maryland...

secondly, if i'm not mistaken, this is only the second virgin fest, and only the first two day virgin fest at least for the US

but anyways, i'm definitely going to be at this fest again, i look most forward to the techno tent again...RJD2, Digweed, and Carl Cox were teets last year...and they really need to get Bjork to show up in B-more
