This was a fucking awesome show. It was at a small venue (about 30-40 people) and it most definetly was one of the best shows I've been to. Sadly I went alone.
Opening was a small band, the Actual. They faired pretty good. I haven't heard of them before but seeing them live instantly got my attention. They are really good live. I would have bought their CD had I been able to find them at the end of the show.
Next was the Bled. All I could say was "wow". I've listened to their CD and some other songs, but this had to be my favorite live band of all time. The lead singer, Jeremy (I think that's his name) is fucking awesome. He came off stage and ran around a bunch of people wrapping the mic chord around them. They played a couple of songs but all sounded so fucking good.
Then came Saosin. They're also a fucking bad-ass live band. The lead singer is pretty funny. He mixes in tango with the old go crazy on stage thing. There was this crazy mexican kid going crazy, smacking the floor and shit. But it still was awesome.
Next was Spitalfield. I was waiting for them. They played a bunch of songs off of their new album Remember Right Now and they wanted to do a Pantera cover but ran out of time. They're great live and Mark (lead singer)'s voice was rather splendid. Mark said it was a bad idea performing after Saosin.
Last was the Goodwill. I couldn't hear them but they still were a good band. The probably should have brought the mic levels up.
