My so called friend just called me and told me I had to get a guitar back for him that I pawned. He gave me the guitar to play over a year ago and it just sat around taking up space and gathering dust. Last week I pawned it without his permission, maybe I'll get sued but I don't think hes got any records of it I dont know for sure, I got $800, sent him the money told him how I did it.
Tonight, Saturday, he calls me and says he needs his guitar back. He lives in another state. He says he needs it back because his dad said so, his dad lives in another state, I just said I obviously should have cared more about his guitar instead of deciding he needed the money. He said it was a gift to him from his dad when his parents got divorced and thats why he needs it back, also he said his dad spent more money on the guitar at the time then he had in total.
To me this just sounds like a parent trying to buy a kids love, seriously I cant help my friend with this I repeated ten times that the whole thing is my fault, except he gave me that guitar in the first place. Also neither of us are interested in playing guitar anymore. I just need to know how bad of a thing it was to tell him to call the store and try to buy it back if thats what he wanted. How bad is this?
