What Bands Can't You Understand The Fuss About ?!?

I don't understand the whole Good Charlotte thing. To me the whole thing is the "new" boy band phase that all these girls are getting into and are flashed all over MTV and TRL. Can REAL fans of GC tell me why they like them and what the fuss is about??? TEENY BOPPERS STAY OUTTA THIS ONE!!!

I also don't undertsand how ppl like Simple Plan and Mest and all these other bands that all tour and hang out with GC.

The whole Evanescence craze how made me gone mad as well. I don't think they're good at all and that song "Bring Me To Life" had to be the most annoying song of the year. All this nu-metal stuff which is actually power rock ballads annoys me pretty fast too (i.e., Staind). So if anyone could explain the craze for these bands then please show me the light.

I'm into music that contains a message that we may all relate to, but is explained by powerful lyrics that draw you into the music and/or make you think, for example: BRAND NEW - "Deja Entendu". All these bands I mentioned have very generic simple lyrics that tell you straight to the point what is going on. Like, "my dad left me and my mom, life sucks, etc." Well, I'll stop preaching and listen to some Thrice. LATER!

Ok, it's really not that complicated. Like a couple years ago Brittany Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Mandy Moore, were the ones on top of the charts. A few years later it was the Backstreet Boys, Nsnyc, 98 Degrees, etc. Now the so called "punk rock" bands are the latest trend. It will eventually fade away.

alexisonfire, have you ever listened to most of the harder rock bands you named? if you have ever listened to mudvayne you would know. their lyrics are amazing. they arent about girls and breakups and what the new music is about (i.e. brand new, tbs). same with adema and korn. they dont whine about breaking up which makes them better already.

addressing Mudvayne.....any band that has to wear makeup/costumes to draw more attention to them, automatically sucks. if they were good, they wouldn't need a gimmick like that to get people to notice them. Same thing for Slipknot and Mushroomhead.

I love all the pop-punk band's music. No im not some fucking kid who just like's them to be "punk" or because it's cool to. I've been listening to these bands for years and I will continue to do so. I watched Simple Plan rise from the smallest band in the world to become one of the biggest hit's today. Their music is catchy as fuck, people like it. I knew this would one day happen to pop-punk music. It will die down, but it wont really bother me if it doesnt. I don't pay attention to who else listens to it, i listen because i like it.
