Trade Justin Morneau if possible. I think Teixeira and Pujols are more of a "sure bet" to have monster years. I think Big Tex will hit between 40-45 HR's for the Rangers while Morneau's production drops this year.

Kazmir in the 8th and Haren in the 10th. That means Kazmir was like the 90-95th guy taken and Haren was 115-120.

i like Victorino a lot, too. i bet he puts up double digit OF assists, too. i mean, that doesn't count for fantasy but he's got a good arm.

Alou's a good pick up; i think he'll fuckin' rake in that lineup.

Pettitte won't be the Pettitte of old but he'll be alright. when Wang comes back, he'll be fine. it'll be interesting to see how Igawa translates into the Majors and the lack of a fifth starter for a month is worrying me. I forgot Igawa, from what ive read in the several times the Phils and Yankees played in the spring, Igawa was impressive. Their bullpen improved, yes, but they are still going to overwork guys like Proctor which will end up hurting them in October. Thier lineup is the best in the league, and in light of all this Arod MVP talk im gonna go out and say it that I think if a Yankee wins the MVP (I like Vlad for LAA), it will be Matsui.

If he was your best pitcher, which he isnt .. Wang is, he would be the opening day starter, correct? Thats usually how it goes. Mussina is a good pitcher, he just is not nearly what he was. Not having a full rotation is going to hurt them in april.

Also:

ok im confused. how long does it take to pick someone off of waivers? i dropped coco crisp and tried to pick up a pitcher and it wont show on my roster.

if the pitcher was already on waivers, it takes usually 2-3 days from when he was dropped. it should say above your lineup when he is no longer on waivers.

haha yeah. sort by overall points amassed last year and you'll get a feel for how the points work out, it's actually pretty even. position players are really important as well, but when a pitcher has a big day it's huge. It's up to you to determine how important each position is.

Well, not really...you have to take into account everything. Just because batting average doesn't matter doesn't mean you shouldn't look at the other stats. Remember that things like walks and steals get your batters points too, but you know. Plus, you need to balance drafting pitchers (no max at any position) so prioritize well. It helps to sort by last year's fantasy points earned to get an idea of what kind of players the points system favors.

I'm a changed man now, fantasy football changed me this year. I was a pretty casual fantasy sports guy until I got super into football, now I keep up the whole way - except head to head baseball is good in theory, but still disinterests me for the most part if I feel I have a good team but I'm not winning.

Yeah. He'll kill K counts. He's only good for Wins and that's it. But that's only because of the offense that he would be getting. his ERA will probably balloon this year, as well. Those type of pitchers rely on great defense and a good amount of luck -- something he got a lot of both last year. With Jeter booting the ball like ARod was last year, that doesn't bode well for Wangs numbers.
