so far I'm hardpressed to find five noteworthy albums this year. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. For now, I'll go with
1. Alkaline Trio - Remains (sure it's mostly b-side singles we've already heard, but they're still great)
2. From Autumn to Ashes - Holding a Wolf by the Ears (hooray for advance copies, buy this album)
3. Paulson - All At Once (sooo good)
other than that, nothing's really impressed me yet, and that's really sad considering one of those 3 is old songs. Comeback Kid's new one was decent but nothing special. Still prefer their last one. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Sky Blue Sky is beautiful. I still need to listen to Neon Bible more. I haven't even listened to the whole thing yet. My top five is probably this for right now, but keep in mind I have a few things that I still need to listen to:
1. The Shins - Wincing the Night Away

add The Almost to my list and possibly Jackson Waters.
and with a lot of mainstream let down luck, Linkin Park (maybe, but if the album is anything like the single, it'll be a let down).

Tell me you didnt rate Anberlin over EITS and Arcade Fire.
Do you have ears??
Just because he liked Anberlin's release more than EITS' and Arcade Fire's doesn't mean he doesn't have ears. He's obviously heard all three albums, but come to a different conclusion.
I don't have a top five, simply because so many amazing albums have come out this year. It'd be really hard to rank them all.

1) Neon Bible // Arcade Fire
2) Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? // Of Montreal
3) A Weekend In The City // Bloc Party
Though to be honest, even A Weekend In The City bothers me. As far as other releases go:
Fall Out Boy - Didn't live up to my hopes
Modest Mouse - really gets annoying, I love the single but once I get a few tracks into the album I have to change to something else
The Almost, Anberlin, Relient K - All very generic releases

I just know my top album would have to be Cities, but I'm not sure after that. I really wanna hear Moving Mountains, but haven't been able to get my hands on it yet.
I think that has potential.

It's not that hard to NOT act like a dick. There's just no need, and it turns threads from discussion to bitching at eachother.
