Dumbledore made Snape kill him. For some reason or other, it had to be done. Snape was overheard while talking to Dumbledore saying that he "couldn't do" something or other. That something was to kill Dumbledore.

Would Dumbledore plead for his life? No. It would contradict everything he's ever said about death. For him, death is just the next step in a journey

Unless you do have the ACTUAL 1st editions, from the original printer, and it is the Philosphers Stone, they won't be worth mutch.

1st editions are typically worth a lot because they were originally printed in small quantities due to not being popular. A 1st edition that has a run of millions is not rare.


First edition "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" books with laminated pictorial boards that are not bound in cloth and feature a shiny cover are very valuable, as only 500 of these books were printed.

honestly so true....alot of people have been into this series since they were young, so they may be older now but i guarantee you that they still love it..

also, in the back of my mind i can honestly see this whole thing ending like the matrix....both harry and voldemort die, and the entire world is put to being ok...i just dont see harry living this one out since he somehow has managed to live through all 6 books barely...but i do think the battle to this thing will be like half the frickin book...i can just see it being monumental
