i mean hope they expand past NY, and past games have shown that they will, but clearly the focus is NY. I just wish they would have focused it somewhere else


But you know Marrost could be onto something here, maybe they don't have a full global map but perhaps they expanded it well beyond into other countries. (instead of doing just the state or NY/NJ areas maybe they have Russia/NY/Other Big Cities). The person that mentioned Russia sounds logical too. I mean this is next gen systems so it would lead me to believe that they could handle more than PS2 could, so i don't see a reason why they wouldn't expand even that much further.

A word of advice: Keep your PS2. I've heard PS2 games running on 720p on a PS3 look like shit.

Looking at the trailer again actually, the colours look so bland and boring. I know that's the big thing in next-gen games thanks to Gears of War, but still, this is fucking GTA! Remember the colours from Vice City and even GTA3?

im really hoping that you can enter every building. Oblivion did it, so what would stop GTA from doing it?

there could be the Russian guy, the classic New York badass, an Asian hitman or something along those lines, and some sort of female lead. the possibilities could be endless and would add limitless depth to the game with crossing paths and such. imagine you've started playing with your Russian character, you get to a certain point and you decide to start a new game with your New York style character and the entire story has been altered due to the choices you've made while playing as the Russian. as i said above, the possibilities could be endless.

Your best bet would probably be to pre-order it online so that maybe it arrives a couple days early, and you throw it on ebay for a short auction with next day shipping or something like that.

I fall in the group of former GTA haters. I found GTA3 alright, Vice City I thought was awful, San Andreas was only so-so.

This is one of the best games I've played in years.
I don't know why, most GTA games are pretty similar, but this one just blew me away.
Graphics aren't amazing, but what can you do? There's so much city that I guess you can't expect it to look much better than it does without lagging like mad.

Who just lost his saved game? This guy did. About 12 hours of playing time in, 35% of the missions already completed and the fucking thing won't load. I turn the PS3 on, it goes through the loading screens/theme song and says "Loading-- The Puerto Rican Connection"


......and the fucking game never loads. I've left it for 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes....nothing. Re-booted the PS3 a couple of times. I'm starting to get pissed now.

It was near the beginning of the game right when I was going to see Roman about going online and getting an e-mail account.

Right when I'm nearing the destination, the screen cuts to black, says Loading, and I waited for five minutes and it never finished loading, so I just said screw it and turned the 360 off.

i completely understand that i'm in the minority and this is likely a personal preference, but i feel i've finally come to the realization that i'm just not a GTA fan. Liberty City was no exception for me. The level design is incredible. There is so much to do, i get that.

but i played this for two hours and just got so board trying to figure everything out. many times, it's too dark to see anything, and a lot of the missions/extras are so tedious and straightforward. not to mention i think the voice acting and story in general are terrible. i would normally keep playing through this, but i feel like this a lot while playing any GTA game.

Playing with grenades is awesome. My friend was playing around with them and I told him to just hold one and see what happens. Best thing ever. That and running people over with your car while in the 1st person.
